Global Baby Care brand CHICCO expanding its Oral Care Range

Global Baby Care brand CHICCO expanding its Oral Care Range

Good oral hygiene is crucial for every individual and should start as early as infancy. Though, inculcating the habit of brushing in kids is daunting for parents. Understanding the challenge, leading baby care brand, Chicco, has extended its oral care range and introduced new age-appropriate toothpaste flavours and toothbrush range to make the oral care regime enjoyable for babies & kids.

Proper oral hygiene goes far beyond fresh breath; it is the best resolution to prevent gum disease later in life. The enamel in babies and kids is in the development stage and is thinner than those of adults. Thus, while selecting an oral care regime for babies, parents must consider using products that gently cleanse without damaging the enamel and delicate gums of the little ones.

CHICCO TOOTHPASTE – Chicco toothpaste is 75% lower abrasive, which reduces the risk of enamel damage while providing the proper cleaning. It contains Xylitol that does not allow the cavity-causing bacteria to grow, thereby reducing the chances of cavities. Since babies are not a pro at spitting out the paste and also swallow sometimes by mistake, the toothpaste range for up to 6 years is fluoride-free, so it is safe for babies and kids. The new age-appropriate flavours, introduced by Chicco, have been designed to instill the habit of regular brushing in babies and kids. Adding to this, the Chicco toothpaste range is now certified by the Indian Dental Association (IDA).

The toothpaste range includes Gum Gel (0month+), Apple-Banana toothpaste (6 months – 6 years), Strawberry toothpaste, and the newly launched mix-fruit toothpaste (12 months – 6 years). As kids grow above six years, they have permanent teeth. For them, Chicco has introduced new mild-mint toothpaste with an age-appropriate amount of fluoride.

The Chicco toothpaste range is available at a very viable price, i.e., Rs. 179/- in 4 different flavours.

CHICCO TOOTHBRUSH- The new toothbrush range has the innovative extra soft Tapered Bristle which provides gentle and effective cleaning without damaging the baby’s teeth enamel and gums. The bristles of the toothbrush are BPA-free and therefore safe for children. The toothbrush’s head & neck are ergonomically designed and hence suitable for the baby’s mouth. The toothbrush also offers the anti-slip grip for firm holding to have control while brushing.

The toothbrush range is available in two age groups 6mn-36mn (Pink, Blue and Green color) and 3yr-8yr (Pink, Blue, Green and Orange).

The toothbrushes are competitively priced; 6mn-36mn range starts from Rs.149 and 3yr-8yr range starts from Rs.119.

Indian realtor Roha Realty to enter Dubai market as it wins the prestigious Business Titans Award in Dubai

Armed with the coveted Business Titans Award, the Mumbai-based Roha Realty – part of the 50-year-old diversified business conglomerate Roha Group – said it will open three offices in Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong to tap the NRI market.

“Runway 34 a passion project for me” says Ajay Devgn

“Runway 34 a passion project for me” says Ajay Devgn

  • Tell us about Runway 34

I   have grown up on film sets, from assisting to handling the camera, from editing to taking up small tasks on the sets. These experiences have contributed to the kind of artist I have transformed into today. As an actor, I’ve always liked challenges. Exploring something new interests me a lot. This genre, aviation drama, is fairly new in the country and it’s a genre that I really enjoy. The script has a lot of drama, thrill, emotion, and suspense. In order for audiences to experience the situations with us, everything had to feel real – the aircraft, the cast, and the environment. I think reality will really grip the audience the minute they set eyes on their screens. Runway 34 is a film I think the audiences of Zee Cinema will appreciate.

  • Do you follow any particular process when it comes to choosing your scripts?

Usually, It’s just instinctive. But with time and experience, it comes more organically as you rationalize the possibilities in your head. It also depends on what kind of cinema I want to be associated with. Sometimes, I’m feeling experimental with wanting to play an antagonist or do a period film for that matter. There is no hard and fast rule that has to be adhered to. As an actor, I can’t restrict myself to a particular kind of criteria or rules in mind. I feel like you know and feel it when it’s right, and recognize if it’s the one for you.

  • What about the movie appealed to you the most and drove you towards doing it?

It has a straightforward plot, yet the narration is so engaging. What I also liked about this film in particular is that it portrays both the actions and consequences of an event. It’s not a preachy story where the protagonist gets away with anything. there are people being fairly held accountable and questioned. The courtroom drama and the banter, the arguments made are so real and subjective. It’s quite an interesting take and brings a new perspective to the film. The fight between Amitabh sir and my character keeps you engrossed. Being able to inculcate feelings of tension and panic is a difficult thing to do. The movie is so incredibly unpredictable, nothing is obvious and that was the most exciting thing for me. In my opinion, it’s an intelligent film and I had fun filming it with such an amazing cast.

  • How was the experience collaborating with Amitabh Bachchan?

When I read the script, I just knew the role was meant to be for him. Had he not agreed, I would have scrapped the project entirely. As an actor, to be able to closely observe him do what loves doing, with so much passion, love, hard work, and dedication, it’s so inspiring. I’m constantly in awe of him both as a person and an actor. I mean it when I say that it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Even after all these years, I’ve never seen him get complacent or be underprepared, he takes all the efforts and roles seriously. I consider myself lucky to share this kind of rapport with him where I can reach out to him and present my ideas without any hesitation. There is never a dull moment with him on set, always fun and fruitful experience.

  • Tell us about returning to the director’s chair

Being in a director’s chair comes with a lot of responsibilities. You have to get your vision for the film straight and get your team to visualize the same so you can eventually translate it on the screen. That film becomes your baby and you do everything in your power to make it flawless. Runway 34 came to me during the lockdown; the more I studied the script, the more I got inclined to direct it. The way I envisioned it, I was sure I wanted to cast Amit Ji in the film, and without him, I didn’t want to make the film at all! So, when he agreed to the film, it was a new wave of excitement that made Runway 34 a passion project for me.

Sparsh Hospice observed World Hospice & Palliative Care Day

Sparsh Hospice observed World Hospice & Palliative Care Day

Hyderabad, October 10, 2022, A 82-bedded state-of-the-art, the first Palliative Care facility in the Telugu States observed World Hospice & Palliative Care Day at its premises in Khajaguda in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Smt. Rani Kumudini, Special Chief Secretary, Govt of Telangana was the chief guest and Sri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT, Govt of Telangana, was the guest of honour.

To mark the occasion, it inaugurated a ten bedded Paediatric Palliative Care Ward for children below ten years.

Daggubati Rana inaugurated it. Dr Ramesh Kancharla, Chairman & MD, Rainbow Hospitals also graced the inaugural.

Speaking on the occasion the film star Daggubati Rana said that it was his good fortune to visit Sparsh Hospice which is considered by many as a temple.  My mother made one promise that I would accompany her to a temple at least once a year.  A couple of days back my mom told me that I must visit a temple.  And that temple was this, the Sparsh Hospice.  I am blessed to have got an opportunity to visit the facility today.  I am sure this massive edifice wouldn’t have come up without working hard for it.  Kudos to everyone associated with it for the great human service, Rana said.  Further, he assured them his fullest cooperation for any of its activities and in whichever way they deem fit that his services be utilised.  I am more willing to be with you in every possible way, he said.

The Chief Guest Rani Kumudini, Special Chief Secretary said that she had some idea of palliative care before visiting the place. Normally we can see facilities of this nature only in the west.  But, the facilities in Sparsh Hospice are on par with the best in the west.  It is a need-of-the-hour one. It is also named very appropriately as ‘Sparsh'(mother’s touch).  If there is one cancer patient in the family, the entire family suffers.  The trauma the patient and their families undergo are unimaginable.  Sparsh Hospice gives psychologically a great relief to the patient and family members. It is not just children who have to look after their parents. And an institution like this can play a role just as a family would do.  A service-minded organisation with human touch like Sparsh Hospice is an extended family, she said.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary said a free facility like Sparsh Hospice boosts the morale of cancer victims. With suffering from the disease, the patients are already low on morale.  It takes care of pain management and that too like a family member and  free of cost. The facilities here are on par with the best of the corporate hospitals.  It is also heartwarming to know that they served 5500 patients in the last 11 years.  He offered his full cooperation in whichever manner the hospice would require.

Dr Ramesh Kancharla, one of the earliest and big donors of Sparsh Hospice said children do need special care. Children cope with the disease much better than adults.  Sparsh Hospice gives dignity to the people in their departure. Preparing anybody for the eventuality is a great service.  We continue to support the way we have been supporting till such time that Rainbow Children’s Hospital continues to make a profit.

Welcoming the gathering President of the Rotary Club of Banjara Hills Mr Prabhakar Dhulipudi said  Sparsh Hospice is an initiative of the Rotary Club of Banjara Hills Charitable Trust. Palliative Care is the care given to terminally ill patients.  Palliative care at Sparsh involves physical, emotional and spiritual care, with a team of trained doctors, nursing staff, physiotherapists, counsellors and spiritual guides. It also offers home care services.  All these services are offered free. It served more than 5500 patients.

The Paediatric Palliative Care Ward is opened with the expertise and support of Rainbow Hospitals. It is a ten bedded ward, which accepts children who are suffering from the end stage of cancer.  It accepts children below ten years.  He also shared that they were planning to introduce a mobile cancer screening facility with a focus on women and their screening for cervical cancer, breast cancer and others. To begin with, they would like to introduce one mobile screening bus, after studying the pitfalls, we will go for more such buses,  he said.   The bus will be deployed in rural areas.

Speaking further he added that the Rotary Club of Banjara Hills is contemplating setting up a full-fledged, world-class cancer hospital.  For which it had sought 3 to 4-acre land within the city from the government of Telangana.  The exact details will be finalised soon after they get land allocation from the state government. The club has written to the State government last month and hopes to get the same soon.

Ramakrishna, husband of a patient Sharada and Lakshmi mother of a child cancer patient Yuvraj spoke and gave their feedback on how concerned the staff at Sparsh Hospice was.  They wholeheartedly thanked them for their yeoman service.

Mrs Tanvi, a member of the Rotary Club of Banjara Hills, gave more details about Paediatric Palliative Care.  If a child gets Cancer,  it changes the life of the family forever. Every year 14 lakh fresh cancer cases are registered in India. Out of which 75000 are kids. 75% of them have a chance of survival if they are picked up and treated in the early stage of cancer.  There is an end to cure, but there is no end to care, she said. and that is what we are committed to offering to all our inmates, she said.
