10, March 2023: Shedding light and emphasis on kidney disease and prevention among adults, Bangalore Kidney Foundation (BKF) to conduct a walkathon on the 12th of March, 2023, commencing at Conrad Bengaluru.
Initiated in the year 1979, Bangalore Kidney Foundation is one of the oldest foundations in the state catering to those diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. With a vision towards creating change and extending a supporting hand to those suffering, BKF who started out with 1 machine has now expanded its centre to about 85 machines to 290 dialysis patients and providing over 3300 dialyzes every month. With over two million adults facing critical kidney disease issues requiring either a transplant or dialysis, Bangalore Kidney Foundation have paved its way to ensure regular dialysis by a combination of affordable, subsidized, or free dialysis. Considering the present economic situation, many in rural and urban areas are unable to undergo the right treatment and consultation. Tackling such situations, BKF ensures to provide the right nutrition, medication, and diagnostic tests to patients as well. With a focus around providing regular dialysis and support by specialists, BKF is working its way entirely to support, care and provide treatments that aid to a better and healthier tomorrow.
