New Delhi, February  2023: A Delhi-based NGO, Wishes and Blessings will be distributing cupcakes to more than 2,000 impoverished and street children throughout Delhi/NCR on Valentine’s Day to show them that they are loved and cared for, and to offer them a little bit of happiness.

Wishes and Blessing - Love & Enjoy (3)

For this unique drive as part of the #WBCares campaign, the NGO has encouraged baking enthusiasts and established bakeries and cafés from around the NCR to spread the love by donating cupcakes. Volunteers as well as home chefs will be contributing to this initiative. The drive will be conducted while keeping in mind the broader values that Wishes and Blessings believe in, such as empathy, sympathy, and altruism. The team will be giving out the donated cupcakes to street children, children with HIV, children with visual impairment, orphaned children, homeless children, and underprivileged children on 14th February. Major locations where the cupcakes will be distributed included Okhla, Vasant Vihar, Nizamuddin, Munirka, Noida, Gurgaon, Madipur village, Israil camp, Sarai Kale Khan, Sadiq Nagar, and Maharani Bagh, among others.

Commenting on this upcoming event, Dr. Geetanjali Chopra, Founder and President of Wishes and Blessings said, “Every child deserves to have a nurturing, and loving childhood. Unfortunately, because the lesser privileged families barely have enough money to meet their immediate and basic requirements, these kids cannot afford little delights like cupcakes. We are very grateful to have a group of compassionate bakers and volunteers who have come together to show love to those who need it the most.”

Participating bakers and bakeries include the Culinary courtyard, Diggin, Bisque, Dear Donna, Ambroisa, Rose cafe, and Pearl boutique bakery.
