One97 Communications Limited, which owns the brand Paytm, India’s leading mobile payments and financial services company, today announced that it is the official mobile payments partner for the prestigious 31st edition of New Delhi World book Fair. The fintech pioneer has placed QR codes along with the Paytm branding across the venue at over 1500 stalls.
To enable adoption of digital payments and drive convenience for visitors, the company is offering up to ₹100 cashback while paying via Paytm UPI. This nine-day literary event will also host participants from G20 countries at a separate pavilion. The New Delhi World Book Fair, organized by National Book Trust, is witnessing nearly 1 lakh footfalls daily. Visitors can earn the cashback on a minimum order value of ₹50 and will be valid on the third Paytm UPI payment made via Paytm QR code. The company also offers lightning-fast payments with Paytm UPI LITE.
Paytm has also set up an exclusive reading and resting lounge for Paytm customers where they can enjoy Paytm goodies ranging from cookies, and bookmarks, to bags, after they make a payment of ₹1 to anyone. This will encourage visitors to make mobile payments, and do cashless transactions at the exhibition.
Paytm, the pioneer of QR code, is driving financial inclusion and promoting digitization of the payment system to accelerate India’s digital payment penetration.
