Varthana elevates Chandra Kumar CS to Chief Human Resource Officer

Bengaluru, June  2023: One of India’s largest education-focused Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFC), Varthana, today announced the elevation of Mr. Chandra Kumar CS to the position of Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) in addition to heading Customer Experience. Started in 2013, Varthana aims at aiding and supporting affordable private schools and students with affordable education loans on a pan-India basis with the goal of transforming affordable education in rural India.

Varthana is looking to ramp up its growth significantly in the coming year and in this crucial role supporting the organization’s growth, Chandra will oversee Varthana’s people strategy, spearhead talent and leadership development, diversity and inclusion efforts, improve employee and customer experience and cultivate a high performing culture.

In his previous role as Head of Business HR and HRSD at Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was responsible for driving HR strategy for Global business units and bringing excellence in HR service delivery. Prior to Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was with Tata Communications responsible for the effective implementation of the company’s HR Strategy, Policies, Practices, and Systems for their Global Enterprise Solutions Business units.
