“Plastic pollution has reached alarming levels, with over 400 million tonnes of plastic being produced annually, posing a severe threat to wildlife and marine ecosystems along with human health. Taking accountability and keeping a check on plastic consumption and disposal practices has become the need of the hour.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, we at Evolve Back Resorts, proudly reaffirm our commitment to sustainable practices through our diverse range of sustainable initiatives to reduce our plastic footprint and promote a cleaner, greener future. Some of these initiatives include our commitment to managing our waste in the most optimal and responsible manner.

Developed over the years, with technological expertise, our efficient waste management system emphasises recycling and proper disposal of waste. With this waste collection and sorting system, it became possible for us to increase our recovery of recyclable waste through better management practices. As a direct result of adopting such strategies, we have today raised our dry waste recovery rate to more than 60%. It also enabled us to anticipate non-composable waste generation, like single-use plastics, at the source and consider ways to soften its impact on the environment.

Additionally, our active collaboration with local communities to raise awareness about the harmful impacts of plastic pollution has also played a key role in keeping our property and neighboring grounds clean and waste-free.

At Evolve Back Resorts, we believe that through conscious choices, collaboration, and deep respect for nature, we can collectively step up as a community to #BeatPlasticPollution.”
