The APSPM Programme is a 9-months course with the aim to equip mid and senior executives with the ability to plan and effectively manage projects in their organisation.

The programme content introduces the participants to the concepts of project and portfolio management, and the advanced tools and techniques available for implementing them in different businesses. The capstone project provides participants with an opportunity to apply the learnings from the programme to a project through its life cycle.

Commenting on the programme, Mohan Kannegal, CEO, India and APAC, Eruditus, said, “Projects are a fundamental part of every company’s business plan. This programme would help the executives attain a competitive edge in their domain. The program would also help the individuals gain an end-to-end understanding of project management and portfolio management from planning to execution; learn the tactical, operational and behavioural aspects of project management; apply new concepts, such as agile management techniques, to daily operational challenges; evaluate and manage projects and teams effectively and enhance the ability to make high-level strategic decisions and drive change. This programme would thus enable the executives to plan and manage the projects in an effective way.”

Prof. Megha Sharma, IIM Calcutta said, “Rapidly changing business landscape and the uncertainties that it brings along have necessitated organisations to adapt to changes quickly. Organisations that are capable of rapidly adapting to environmental changes can not only maintain their current position but have also taken advantage of the changing environment to their benefit. Such organisations irrespective of their size – from start-ups to conglomerates, and industries – from conventional manufacturing firms to platform service businesses, are increasingly adopting the project-oriented structure for better accountability. Climbing up the career ladder in these organisations and successfully leading them requires their managers and leaders to be proficient in project and portfolio management.”

Prof. Sudhakara Reddy, IIM Calcutta adds, “The programme from IIM Calcutta has been specifically designed for senior executives looking for upskilling in project and portfolio management. The curriculum helps participants acquaint with the concepts of project and portfolio management, and the advanced tools and techniques to implement in different businesses scenarios”.

This programme transcends the operational aspects of project management to explore the tactical and behavioural components of leadership and communication that can help the learners move from managerial to leadership roles. This high-impact programme is best suited for mid to senior-level executives who want to drive strategic initiatives with a data-driven approach. The participants must have direct or indirect experience of working on/managing projects.

All the enrolled executives, on successful completion of all the evaluation components and attendance criteria, would receive a certificate of completion and would be eligible for the prestigious IIM Calcutta Executive Education Alumni Status.
