XLRI ExPGDM Alumni Committee hosted the Annual GMP Alumni Meet, Confluence 2021, on the 11th of December 2021 at 6:30 PM.
The program was inaugurated by notable alumni of XLRI like Ronald D Costa, Chief Executive of the Boulevard Hotel, and Deepak Garg, MD of Sany South Asia & Sany India. It also included keynote addresses by esteemed faculty of XLRI Jamshedpur like Prof. H. K. Pradhan, Prof. TA S Vijayaraghavan, and Prof. S. Sengupta.
XLRI, the first B-school in India, has a distinguished alumni network of the flagship General Management Program, working across geographies and cultures in serving reputed institutions worldwide. The event focused on bringing the alumni network together to reconnect and strengthen its bond with the institution.
It is commendable to note that it was the second time XLRI hosted the event virtually, having previously done it last year due to the pandemic. The first three editions of the GMP Alumni Meet were organized in Bangalore, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai. The institute engages with its Alumni through newsletters and major events it organizes throughout the year.
On the night of the event, the air was filled with music, songs. There were performances by the EXPGDM batch of 2022 and musical performances by Bodhi Tree. The high spot of the event was the performance by eminent musician, the queen of Indian pop and jazz, Usha Uthup.
An absolute fun-filled event, Confluence 2021, provided a platform for hurling anecdotes of remarkable journeys, incredible talk, interactive sessions. Illustrious alumni leading prestigious organizations around the globe made the event worth remembering.
