New Delhi – According to the BARC data, CNN–News18 has been the leader in the English news genre for 36 consecutive weeks with an average of 34.5 % market share in India’s TG: 2+ segment (Mkt: India | TG 2+ | Period: AVG Wk 16- 51’22 | 8 channels considered)
CNN–News18 has been far ahead of the competition even in prime-time hours. As per the BARC data (Market Share% | Mkt: India | TG: 2+ | Mon-Fri (1800-2400 hrs) Wk 48-51’22 | 6 Channels considered), CNN-News18 garnered a massive 32.1%.
The channel has consistently outperformed Times Now and Republic TV in the English news space throughout the year (Mkt: India | TG 2+ | Period: AVG Wk 16- 51’22 | 8 channels considered). BARC resumed ratings for the English news genre on 5th March starting week 10.
According to BARC data, the market share (Mkt: India | TG 2+ | Period: AVG Wk 16- 51’22 | 8 channels considered) of Republic TV, Times Now, and India Today Television stood at 27.7%, 24.0%, and 6.6%, respectively.
