New Delhi, 14th October 2024 – ThoughtSol, a leading name in technology solutions, remains committed to fostering a safe and empowering workplace for its employees. Going beyond the provision of exceptional tech services, the company has taken a proactive approach to employee well-being by organising a self-defense workshop tailored exclusively for its women employees in collaboration with Knockout Fight Club—a renowned name in self-defense training. This initiative reflected ThoughtSol’s dedication to creating an environment where everyone feels secure, valued, and confident in their personal safety.
In response to rising concerns about workplace safety, including recent incidents that happened in Kolkata’s hospital workplace, ThoughtSol took decisive action to enhance safety protocols. Over 30 women from ThoughtSol’s team participated in a comprehensive self-defense workshop.
Commenting on the same belief, Mr. Vinet Kuumar, Founder & CEO of ThoughtSol expressed, “Workplace safety isn’t just about securing our physical spaces—it’s about ensuring every individual feels empowered and confident, no matter where they are. We view our company as a family, and organizing this self-defense class was a way to stand by our team. I’m proud of how everyone embraced the experience.”
The self-defense workshop aimed to equip participants with essential skills to protect themselves in real-world situations. Through hands-on exercises, the participants learnt practical techniques, such as situational awareness, maintaining personal boundaries, and defensive moves. The interactive nature of the session allowed women to practice these techniques in a safe and supportive environment, while expert trainers emphasised the importance of staying composed in stressful scenarios.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where participants discussed their concerns and received personalised advice from the trainers. The women who attended provided enthusiastic feedback, praising the initiative for its practicality and empowering nature.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity. The techniques demonstrated were practical and applicable to real-life situations. It was a confidence-boosting experience,” shared Saloni Mishra, Inside Sales Representative at ThoughtSol.
Priya Singh, Graphic Designer at ThoughtSol, expressed similar sentiments: “This workshop was both empowering and educational. The hands-on approach made it an enjoyable and invaluable learning experience. I hope we continue having more initiatives like this.”
Shreya Mishra, HR Executive at ThoughtSol, added, “The self-defense training was highly relevant and much needed to combat everyday situations. The focus on safety protocols ensured everyone felt comfortable throughout the session.”
The success of the self-defense workshop reflected ThoughtSol’s ongoing strategy to promote safety and empowerment in the workplace. As Bindiya Vohra, Co-founder & Director (Digital Solutions) of ThoughtSol, noted, “True empowerment comes from knowing you’re valued and protected. This initiative reminded me of the importance of creating spaces where everyone, especially women, feels strong, safe, and supported. It’s about building a community where respect and safety are integral to our work culture.”
ThoughtSol remains committed to enhancing its workplace safety measures and will continue to explore new ways to ensure the well-being of its employees. The self-defense class is just one of many initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of respect, security, and empowerment for all team members.
