New Delhi, June 2023: Arjun, the star athlete of Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh, a leading educational institution, has been warmly appreciated by Dr. Shelly Oberoi, Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi, in recognition of his remarkable achievements in the field of athletics. During a meet-and-greet at the Civic Centre New Delhi, the top state officials applauded the young athlete on making history at Asian Youth Athletics Championship and raising the country’s flag in various International Events, including the 5th Asian Youth Athletics Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Arjun has marked his name in history as the first boy from India to win consecutive medals in the Asian Youth Athletics Championship. Furthermore, he currently holds the prestigious rank of number one in Asia and fourth in the world in the under-18 boys’ Javelin Throw Category.
While speaking about the mind-blowing performance of Arjun at National as well as International arenas, Dr. Shelly Oberoi said, “Just 16 years old and currently studying in Class 12, but Arjun displayed exceptional talent and dedication by securing the silver medal in the boys’ Javelin Throw event at the championship. His remarkable throw of 66.99m was a testament to his exceptional skills and caliber. This noteworthy achievement follows his previous Silver Medal win at the Asian Youth Athletic Championship held in Kuwait 2022 augur a promising future ahead of him.”
