South City International School proudly hosted its vibrant and diverse annual fest, Morpheus, on the 26th and 27th of July. This two-day event brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests to celebrate the spirit of creativity, sportsmanship, and talent.

SOUTH

The fest featured a wide array of programs, showcasing the diverse talents of students in both competitive and non-competitive events. Highlights of the event included competitions in sports such as football, basketball, badminton, and table tennis, alongside intellectual pursuits like chess, stock exchange simulations, quizzes, and debates. Cultural and artistic expressions were equally celebrated with events in eastern and western dance, music, art, sketching, mural painting, rangoli, slam poetry, and vlogging. Unique challenges like the treasure hunt, boardroom crisis, and shark tank added an element of excitement, while culinary creativity was displayed in the fireless cooking competition. The fashion show added a touch of glamour, showcasing the students’ flair for style and presentation.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Nicolas Facino, Director of Alliance Française du Bengale, who appreciated the student’s enthusiasm and the school’s efforts in fostering a holistic educational environment. The esteemed jury members included Sushmita Roy, Miss Universe West Bengal 2024, Actor & Model; Rapheal Mantosh, Fashion Designer & Creative Director, NIFD; Kavita Banerjee, Fashion designer of Label Bonbibi; Tina Mookherjee, Former Model and Creative Director. Their presence and expertise brought an extra layer of prestige and credibility to the competitions, inspiring students to perform their best.

5th July 2024, Kolkata: Van Mahotsav, an annual tree-planting festival, was celebrated to spread awareness about the importance of trees and forests in our lives. This year, South City International School embraced the spirit of this festival by organizing various activities to promote environmental conservation. South City International School students participated in community outreach programs, where they educated people about the significance of planting trees and distributed planters to passers-by in different locations.

Ms. Satabdi Bhattacharjee, Principal of South City International School, encouraged all students to actively participate in this noble cause. She emphasized the vital role that trees play in maintaining ecological balance and ensuring a sustainable future.
