Zamit Brings Transformative ZQ Analysis to NeoFusion NGO School Students

New Delhi 20th November 2024: In an inspiring step towards fostering future-ready skills, NeoFusion, an NGO School, has partnered with Zamit, a leading EdTech platform, to conduct its proprietary ZQ (Zamit Quotient) analysis for over 100 students. This unique collaboration aims to assess and enhance students’ essential skills across Zamit’s iSKiL framework, a structured approach that evaluates critical abilities required for success in the modern world.

Out of the total 120 students registered for the ZQ analysis, 100 have successfully completed the assessment, with the remaining students expected to finish in the coming weeks. The preliminary results reflect NeoFusion students’ strengths across several dimensions, including Learning Power, Universal Awareness, and Technological Skills, among others.

The ZQ analysis, a comprehensive skills assessment program, evaluates learners on over 70 key skills across 9 core dimensions known as the iSKiL framework. These dimensions include Learning Power, Cognitive Ability, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Emotional Intelligence, and more, offering a holistic perspective on each student’s competencies and areas for growth.

KIIT World School, Gurugram, Hosts CBSE Regional Science Exhibition with 50 Schools Participating

Gurugram: KIIT World School, Gurugram, recently hosted the CBSE Regional Science Exhibition, a two-day event that highlighted the innovative spirit of young scientists from across the region. More than 50 schools participated, showcasing 110 projects that spanned themes like Disaster Management, Food and Health, Natural Farming, Transport and Communication, Mathematical Thinking, and Waste Management. The exhibition served as a platform to foster scientific curiosity and creativity among students.

The event was graced by esteemed guests including Dr. Rita Sharma, Director of SCERT; Mr. D. Rama Sharma, former Director of NSC; Mr. Sanjay Kumar Bisht, Deputy Secretary of R.O. Panchkula; and Mr. Sunil Bajaj, Director of SCERT, who encouraged students for their dedication and creativity. The projects were evaluated by a distinguished jury panel comprising Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Dr. Chitra Gautam, Dr. A.M. Biradar, Dr. Tamanna Arora, Dr. Seema Srivastava, and Dr. Indira Dhull, based on criteria such as creativity, scientific knowledge, practicality, and presentation.

In the Junior category, The Shikshayan School won top honors with their project on “Natural Farming,” lauded for its sustainable approach to agriculture. Other remarkable projects included Little Angels School’s “Carbon Emission Purification Plant,” and KIIT World School’s “Safe Bracelet.” Lotus Valley International School’s “Senior Safeguard,” HDFC School’s “Bio-Lumi-Breath,” and Saffron Public School’s “Third Eye Surveillance Device” were also noteworthy.

In the Senior category, Amity International School’s “Thermoelectric Generator” took top spots, along with notable projects like Lion Public School’s “Kisan Bot,” Delhi Public School Site 1’s “Pushp,” an eco-friendly sanitary pad made from temple flowers, and KIIT World School’s “Automatic Pill Dispenser.” Other impressive entries included MVN School Sector 88’s “Accesswaves,” Apeejay School’s “Sustainable Cooling System,” and Air Force School’s “Sign Bridge.”

At the closing ceremony, Dr. Neelima Kamrah, Principal of KIIT World School, expressed gratitude to the guests, jury members, and participating schools. She praised the students’ enthusiasm for science and innovation, saying, “This exhibition ignites a scientific spirit in students and inspires them to explore new ideas and innovations.”

Sesa Technical School Graduates Felicitated by Sanquelim Municipal Council Chairperson at Convocation

Ms Siddhi Parab Chairperson of the Sanquelim Municipal Council felicitated 79 students of the 2022-24 batch from Sesa Technical School on the occasion of the 29th Convocation Ceremony held at the STS Campus at Sanquelim. The STS faculty, staff and executives from Vedanta Sesa Goa were also present during the event. The graduating batch comprised of students from the machinist, electrician, fitter, instrument mechanic trades & as well as 20 students, out of which 13 are female students from the inaugural Computer Operator Programming Assistant course.

Speaking during the convocation ceremony Ms. Siddhi Parab, Chairperson, Sanquelim Municipal Council said “Congratulations to all the graduating students of the 2022-24 batch of Sesa Technical School on reaching this important milestone! STS aims to empower youth with industry relevant tech skills which provides them opportunities to secure stable employment in the skilled segment of the workforce by providing a conducive learning environment for acquiring and assimilating tech skills. The school is affiliated to the ITI curriculum and caters to the skilling needs of the youth of Goa, especially from the rural and mining belt. It boasts of a 100% placement record with large companies such as Vedanta, MRF, Unichem, P&G, etc readily picking up the rich talent being produced at the School. Set up in 1994 on the Sanquelim reclaimed mine, STS has till date nurtured the future of ~2000 youth since 1994 & and has made a tremendous impact on their lives as well as on the industrial landscape of Goa.

Apart from technical courses for boys, the STS also runs courses for girls who are inducted in the Instrument Mechanic, Electrician & Machinist trades. The COPA course has been a welcome addition since 2023 and it has been well subscribed to as well. Apart from the usual curriculum, the STS provides its students with industry exposure through plant and site visits and helps them prepare for interviews and job placement opportunities.
