Bengaluru 31 October 2022: Bengaluru cadets from 24th Oct to 31st Oct 2022 at their campus. Around 413 cadets and 50 officers/Instructional Staff were accommodated on the campus for various training programs.

In the process of training and for future NCC activities, a Firing range wall was constructed in record time and inaugurated on 27th Oct by Mr. Manoj Kumar M E – Assistant Commissioner of Police, J.C. Nagar, North Division, Bengaluru in the presence of Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Damodaran PP.

Dr. T.N. Sreenivasa, Principal of Atria Institute of Technology welcomed the dignitaries and encouraged all the Cadets to make the best use of this opportunity.

The Cadets went through grueling drills and other preliminary selection rounds for the Republic Day Parade 2023.

Cadets were not only taught basic military tactics but they were also taught about how to use Rifles for Shooting, maintaining discipline and unity. The cadets were also involved in Vibrant Cultural Programmes.

Group Commander, Group A Col. Basant Singh Inspected the March past, various programs, and facilities and was very impressed with the Institute for hosting such a Magnificent Event.

The week-long program culminated with the grand Valedictory Function and Gala Dinner, attended by Chief Guest Air Commodore BS Kanwar VSM, Deputy Director General NCC Karnataka & Goa Directorate, Shree Nagaraju, Trustee – A­­tria Institute of Technology graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.

Mumbai, 31st October 2022: Aspiring to identify South India’s finest talents, Colors Tamil, Viacom 18’s Tamil Entertainment channel, saw the conclusion of its popular talent reality show, Vellum Thiramai on Sunday, October 30th Judged by the charming Actor Nikki Galrani, popular Actor and martial arts expert Shihan Hussaini, and prominent choreographer Sridhar, the finale witnessed the best of performances in all its grandeur. Blowing everyone’s mind Drona Academy lifted the golden trophy with a cash prize of ₹2,50,000 while JDC and Yova Yoga Academy also had their moment of pride as the 1st and 2nd runners up of the show with a cash prize of ₹1,25,000 and ₹75,000 respectively.

Showcasing a glass and bottle Mallarkambam act, with everyone at the edge of their seats, Drona Academy mesmerized the audience whilst also leaving them speechless. Meanwhile JDC, the popular dance crew won the hearts of the audiences with their elegant dance moves and the Yova Yoga Academy dazzled viewers with ladder yoga, making the grand finale worth the watch.

Commenting on the occasion, Actor Nikki Galrani said, “I am proud of being part of such a wonderful show where talents came from all nooks and corners of the country. I am happy for Drona Academy for winning the coveted title since it is a much-deserved win, however, I feel every talent here is unique and each one of them is already a winner in their own field of expertise. For the first time ever, Indian Nutraceutical Brand Brings Pro Show to India; winners get direct entry to prestigious Mr Olympia

Mumbai: October 2022: A pro show is being held in India- and by an Indian brand- for the first time ever in the history of Indian bodybuilding. Steadfast Nutrition, the country’s fastest-growing sports nutrition brand, has sponsored the championship in collaboration with the Sheru Classic. Four winners will get a ticket to Mr Olympia, the world’s ultimate bodybuilding championship.

Steadfast Nutrition founder Mr Aman Puri says he brought the big-ticket event to India to provide Indian athletes with opportunities to further their competitive careers and make bodybuilding a lucrative career option.

“The goal of most bodybuilding athletes is to compete at Mr Olympia. Bodybuilding is becoming popular in India but is not a lucrative career option. By holding a pro show in India, we wanted to give Indian bodybuilders an opportunity to get a direct entry to Mr Olympia, which can otherwise be an arduous process. Winners will get a greater chance of winning sponsorships and endorsements, which will popularise bodybuilding in the country, make it a legitimate and mainstream sport, enable athletes to earn good money, and give them global recognition,” Aman Puri said.

Only athletes who win pro shows are eligible to compete in Mr Olympia- the most prestigious tournament any bodybuilder can aspire to win. Pro shows also enable amateur bodybuilding athletes to enter the professional circuit. Only pro or professional athletes are eligible to compete for prize money.

To participate in Mr Olympia, an athlete either has to win an IFBB Pro League Olympia Qualifier (like the one held in India) or accumulate points by participating in various pro shows. The former method is shorter, as winners get a direct entry, making the Steadfast Nutrition pro show an exciting and sought-after event for bodybuilding athletes. India’s most competitive bodybuilding athletes will face off in four categories- the Men’s Physique, Men’s Classic Physique, Women’s Bikini, and the 212 Division.

The pro show is being organised under the aegis of the International Federation of Bodybuilding (which oversees bodybuilding events the world over) and the National Physique Committee (NPC)- the International Amateur branch of the National Physique Committee Of The USA.

At the Amateur Olympia, the participants aim to win a “pro card”, the dream of every amateur bodybuilder since it enables them to compete in the professional circuit. Twenty-four pro card winners will be declared at the Amateur Olympia.

The process to participate in the Steadfast Nutrition pro show in association with Sheru Classic is simple. Any athlete above 18 years of age and a pro card winner in the said four categories has to inform the organisers, who would inform the IFBB Pro League, USA and pay the required fees.

Ather Energy strengthens its footprint in Tamil Nadu; opens two new retail outlets

Chennai, 31st October 2022: Ather Energy, India’s leading electric scooter manufacturer, strengthened its retail presence in Tamil Nadu today with the opening of two new outlets in Chennai and Vellore. The company currently has eight Experience Centres (EC) in the state, with Chennai alone having four ECs, making it the city with the most ECs after Mumbai. In November, Ather will open its ninth EC in the state, in Salem.

The two new Experience Centres (Ather Space) have been inaugurated in association with Khivraj Group. The outlet in Chennai is located at Ambattur, and the one in Vellore is at Chennai-Bengaluru High Road. Ather Space will provide a unique ownership experience along with complete service and support for the owners. Consumers can also book test ride slots on Ather Energy’s website before visiting the Experience Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, “With the launch of the new and improved Gen 3 and the ongoing festive season, we have witnessed an exponential spike in demand for our flagship 450 series. Consumers are increasingly looking to upgrade to electric scooters that provide a great riding experience while also providing advanced features and tremendous value. This has led to a surge in demand for Ather scooters in the state, and we are actively working with our suppliers to ramp up production and fulfil the demand for Gen 3. The waiting period in Tamil Nadu has been reduced to a mere 15 days. We are confident of capturing a larger market share in the state and have some exciting plans for the state to cater to the rising demand.”

Ather Energy has a long history with the state of Tamil Nadu. In 2019, Ather opened its first Experience Centre in Chennai, and in 2021, the brand started its operations at the Hosur manufacturing facility, catering to demand from across the country. With the rising demand and aggressive expansion plans in place, Ather has commissioned its second factory space in Hosur and plans to manufacture 400,000 units per annum.
