business Feb 2, 2026

Reacting to the Union Budget 2026, Kapil Sharma, Promoter of Archon Powerinfra, said that the Budget strongly reinforces the Government’s commitment to infrastructure-led economic development, with a record capital expenditure outlay of ₹12.2 lakh crore.

“The continued emphasis on transport, railways, logistics, and urban infrastructure highlights a well-defined strategy to enhance productivity and bring down logistics costs across the economy. This sustained focus on core infrastructure will act as a powerful catalyst for long-term growth,” Sharma stated.

He further noted that the Budget’s prioritisation of infrastructure expansion in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities is a significant step towards balanced regional development. “By extending infrastructure investments beyond major metros, the Government is creating new growth centres, generating employment opportunities, and supporting inclusive economic progress,” he added.

Kapil Sharma also welcomed the Government’s push towards mobilising private capital through structured public-private partnerships (PPPs). “Encouraging private investment while maintaining fiscal discipline reflects a pragmatic and growth-oriented approach. Such collaboration is essential to scale up infrastructure development efficiently and sustainably,” he said.

Overall, Sharma said the Union Budget 2026 lays a strong foundation for sustainable economic expansion and positions infrastructure as a key enabler of India’s global competitiveness.
