AXOR Unveils a New Brand Store in Mohali, Strengthening Its Expansion in North India

business Feb 10, 2026

Chandigarh, Feb 10: AXOR, the design brand of the Hansgrohe Group, known for redefining bathroom experiences through uncompromising design and engineering excellence, has announced the launch of its AXOR’s NewStore in Mohali, further strengthening its design-led expansion across North India. The new store marks a strategic milestone for the brand as it deepens its engagement with one of India’s most architecturally significant and design-conscious markets.

Mohali’s proximity to Chandigarh, with its strong design heritage and structured urban planning align seamlessly with AXOR’s philosophy of design excellence, craftsmanship, and individuality. Serving as the gateway to North India and catering to the affluent Tricity region of Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula, while also extending its influence into Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, the city represents a mature luxury market where consumers are increasingly seeking holistic living experiences and functional solutions.

Commenting on the launch, Abdulkader Bengali, Managing Director, Hansgrohe India, said,

“Mohali represents a market that truly understands architecture, design integrity, and the value of thoughtful living. With the launch of this new AXOR Store, we are not merely expanding our retail footprint but creating an experiential brand touchpoint that allows architects, designers, and consumers to engage deeply with AXOR’s philosophy of personalised luxury and holistic bathroom design. This store reflects our long-term commitment to leading the luxury segment in India.”

The launch also responds to a growing shift in consumer behaviour across the region, where the bathroom is increasingly viewed as a private retreat. Post-pandemic, demand in Mohali and the wider Tricity region has risen sharply for wellness-oriented, design-driven solutions that combine aesthetics, comfort, and performance. AXOR’s focus on complete, coherent bathroom concepts addresses this evolving preference for immersive and personalised luxury experiences.

The AXOR Store in Mohali has been conceived as a design-led space that goes beyond conventional showroom formats, presenting complete bathroom ensembles rather than products in isolation. From basin mixers and showers to thermostatic controls and accessories, each element is curated to reflect a unified design language, enabling architects, interior designers, and homeowners to visualise fully integrated bathroom environments. The store features a calm, neutral, gallery-like backdrop that allows AXOR’s refined finishes, from Polished Red Gold to Brushed Black Chrome, to take centre stage, highlighting the brand’s craftsmanship, materiality, and precision engineering.

Speaking on the brand’s design approach and the significance of the new store, Vishal Gupta, Commercial Director – Sales & Marketing, Hansgrohe India, added,

“For us, luxury today is about relevance, choice, and coherence. The Mohali AXOR Store has been designed to help architects, designers, and homeowners experience how our individual products come together as a complete bathroom solution. This format allows for deeper engagement, clearer visualisation, and a more consultative approach, ensuring that every project reflects the customer’s personal design vision while delivering the highest standards of quality and performance.”

A key highlight of the store is the AXOR ShowerSelect ID, developed in collaboration with Philippe Starck and Antonio Citterio, which brings a strong focus on personalisation to shower controls. The range is complemented by AXOR ShowerSphere by Antonio Citterio and AXOR One by Barber Osgerby, together showcasing AXOR’s design-led approach to contemporary, bespoke bathroom solutions.

With the launch of its New AXOR Store in Chandigarh, the brand continues to set new benchmarks in luxury bath design, reinforcing its position as a partner in architectural storytelling rather than a conventional product brand.
