Launch programme on September 17
The campaign will begin on September 17 with a formal launch programme featuring the recitation of Vande Mataram, a cultural presentation, passenger assistance activities and a ‘Selfie with PM’ booth.

These will include initiatives on cleanliness and maintaining a welcoming terminal environment, parking and connectivity, seating arrangements, facilities for persons with reduced mobility (PRM), Divyangjan and senior citizens, as well as improved wayfinding and passenger information systems.
Focus on digital services and passenger assistance
Baggage services, security facilitation, helpdesk support, drinking water and other essential amenities will also form part of the campaign.
The airport will promote digital travel facilities such as Digi Yatra, Wi-Fi and other digital services to make passenger movement more convenient.
The campaign will also emphasise the ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ approach, while highlighting Odisha’s art, culture, handicrafts and tourism to strengthen the airport’s role as a gateway to the state.
Special attention will be given to women, children and family-friendly facilities. Passenger feedback and grievance redressal mechanisms will also be reviewed as part of the initiative.
Safety, sustainability and staff service
The programme will include activities related to flight information, weather preparedness and emergency response.
A Swachhata Diwas and Shramdaan programme will be held around Gandhi Jayanti, alongside initiatives promoting greener and more sustainable airport operations.
Medical and emergency preparedness will also be assessed. Under the ‘Service with Smile’ initiative, airport personnel will be encouraged to focus on courtesy, empathy and passenger-first behaviour.
Final phase to assess improvements
The concluding phase of Yatri Seva Abhiyan-2026 will focus on facilitating UDAN passengers and first-time flyers, strengthening coordination among airport stakeholders and ensuring a smoother end-to-end passenger journey.
A comprehensive audit of airport facilities and service quality is also planned. The concluding programme will highlight measurable improvements, passenger feedback, recognition of frontline staff and stakeholders, best practices and measures to sustain service enhancements beyond the campaign period.
