CloudThat Becomes a PMI Authorized Training Partner Ahead of PMP Certification Eligibility Changes

business Oct 22, 2026

Bengaluru, Oct 22: CloudThat, a global cloud and AI training and consulting company, has been approved as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Authorized Training Partner (ATP) at the Professional enrolment level. Effective 19 August 2026, CloudThat is now listed in the PMI Authorized Training Partner directory.

The authorization comes ahead of a significant change to Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification eligibility requirements. Beginning 1 December 2026, live instructor-led training will count toward the 35-hour project management education requirement only if it is delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner, a China Registered Education Provider, or an eligible accredited academic program. Training completed before that date remains eligible under current requirements, while self-paced training will continue to be accepted from any provider.

As a PMI Authorized Training Partner, CloudThat can deliver instructor-led project management training for PMI certifications using PMI-developed course content. Its instructors hold the certifications they teach and have successfully completed the PMI Train-the-Trainer program, ensuring learners receive training aligned with PMI standards and practices.

For aspiring PMP candidates, the authorization provides access to PMI-authorized instructor-led training that can help fulfil training requirements under the updated certification framework, subject to PMI‘s application criteria.

The announcement marks a strategic expansion of CloudThat’s learning portfolio beyond cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and data technologies into project leadership and transformation management. As organizations accelerate digital transformation initiatives, the need for professionals who can effectively lead and deliver complex projects has become increasingly important.

“After making an impact on cloud and AI by training over 11 lakh professionals, we’re excited to enter the foray of training project leaders,” said Bhavesh Goswami, Founder and CEO of CloudThat. “Cloud, AI and security initiatives increasingly have to be managed together, and what decides whether they succeed is delivery as much as whether the technology works. Becoming a PMI Authorized Training Partner lets us support the people responsible for turning that technology into delivered projects.”

“Our Authorized Training Partners play an essential role in preparing project professionals to the standard the profession requires,” said Shailendra Jain, Channel Manager – South Asia, PMI. “We are pleased to welcome CloudThat to the program and to see PMI-authorized training reaching learners across India’s technology sector.”

The demand for skilled project professionals continues to grow globally as organizations navigate increasingly complex transformation initiatives. PMI estimates that organizations will require millions of additional project professionals by 2035, while project success continues to depend not only on technical expertise but also on strong project leadership and execution capabilities.

CloudThat‘s entry into PMI-authorized training builds on more than a decade of experience helping organizations develop future-ready technology talent. Since 2012, the company has trained over 1.1 million professionals in cloud, AI, cybersecurity, data, and related technologies, and has delivered more than 750 consulting engagements for organizations across 30 countries.
