The National Board of Examination(NBE) has just conducted the NEET PG 2022 exam for Post Graduates on May 21. The exam was taken by a computer based test (CBT) mode. There were a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from MBBS syllabus such as Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical. Medical aspirants who had appeared for the NEET PG exam reviewed the paper as moderately difficult.
According to NEET PG aspirants , Most of the questions were from obstetrician-gynecologist, Preventive and Social Medicine. Few questions were tricky, few were obligatory and few were very easy. Totally it was moderate to difficult. The exam also consisted of few image based questions related to instruments, investigation firms and ultrasound. Students also stated it was a relief for them, that the exam was held and further postponement would create chaos and stress.
The NBE is the competent authority to release the NEET PG 2022 cutoff percentile along with the results. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate has to secure to qualify the exam. Candidates have to score more than or equal to the cutoff marks to qualify for NEET PG 2022 Exam. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the cutoff marks for the candidates who are participating in the counseling for All India Quota seats. Results and cutoff will be announced on 20th June 2022.
The minimum cutoff percentile for General Candidates are 50 percentile and SC/ST/OBC are 40 percentile. Expected cutoff scores for General(Unreserved) are 290-310 and for SC/ST/OBC are 260-270 respectively. Cutoff marks are decreased if the seats are vacant.
According to Gaurav Tyagi, Founder of Career Xpert , that paper for NEET PG 2022 was moderate to tough. Though the paper was easy for the aspirants who were well prepared for the exam but paper had obligatory questions too. We hope that, at the time of allotment, the cutoff marks will be less compared to last year. For Example, the college that a candidate got based on his cutoff rank of last year, one will get a better college for the same rank this year. Overall the cutoff will be decreased by 5-10% compared to last year. Thus the candidates who can hold themselves and have patience have a great opportunity to get better seats and admission in colleges.
