This Nano-Biosensor-based kit enables on-site pesticide detection within minutes, thereby strengthening self compliance and self belief among farmers and processors. This revolutionary technology provides instant safety assurance, making pesticide monitoring more accessible and efficient.
Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director, NIFTEM-K, stated that with a projected production of over 100,000 kits per season, this innovation is set to transform pesticide monitoring across the tea industry. The breakthrough will benefit small tea growers, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), testing agencies, government bodies, and food regulator. Industry leaders like Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (TCPL) are also expected to leverage this technology for enhanced food safety compliance.
