New Delhi, September 30, 2024: Bal Raksha Bharat (also known as Save the Children, India), a leading organisation in India committed to child welfare and well-being, is pleased to announce the appointment of Santanu Chakraborty as the new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Sudarshan Suchi, effective 18th October 2024.
Santanu is a distinguished and visionary leader with over two and a half decades of expertise in child rights & development, and humanitarian response. His extensive service with Bal Raksha Bharat spans thirteen years at both field and national office levels, and underscores his dedication to advancing children’s rights and empowerment, addressing the needs of the most deprived. Santanu is renowned for his strategic decision-making, program development, and partnership cultivation.
