New Delhi, Feb 23: Sharika Enterprises Limited has named Mr. Sanjay Verma as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company is currently expanding its activities in smart grid and power infrastructure solutions.

Mr. Verma has more than three decades of experience in the power and energy space. He has worked on instrumentation and control systems, distribution networks, grid modernisation and digital infrastructure projects. The appointment coincides with a period of growing investment in automation and grid resilience across the Indian power sector.
Before joining Sharika Enterprises, Mr. Verma served as SWAT Leader – Smart Grids (Greater India Region) at GE Energy. During that period, he was associated with the early deployment of smart grid technologies as utilities began moving toward more intelligent and integrated grid systems. His work involved coordination with utilities, regulators and implementation partners during key stages of grid modernisation initiatives.
Over the years, Mr. Verma has handled assignments linked to distribution networks, and utility systems. He has worked with technologies such as SCADA, distribution automation, smart metering and integrated grid platforms. In several projects, coordination between utilities and technology providers formed a key part of the execution process, and Mr. Verma was involved in both technical planning and on-ground implementation aspects of such assignments.
Alongside his project responsibilities, he has taken part in industry platforms and sector-level discussions over time. These engagements have included conferences and technical forums in India and overseas, where he has spoken about smart grids, utility digitisation and system reliability based on practical experience from distribution and grid-related work. In addition, he has conducted lectures and training sessions at institutions and platforms including NPTI, PGCIL Smart Grid Lab, ISGF and CBIP.

The Board of Directors of Sharika Enterprises welcomed the appointment, noting that Mr. Verma’s experience in smart infrastructure and utility systems adds to the company’s existing leadership team.
