Aug. 21: Startups and innovators have been urged to explore the vast potential of space technology to address challenges in agriculture, livestock management, dairy, environmental protection and other sectors that directly impact everyday life.

Addressing the startup and innovation community, it was emphasised that space technology should not remain limited to exploration and advanced research, but should increasingly be applied to solve real-world problems and improve livelihoods.
Startups were encouraged to develop innovative solutions using satellite data, remote sensing, geospatial technologies and other space-based applications to support farmers, strengthen livestock and dairy management, monitor the environment and create smarter, more sustainable systems.
The startups were also encouraged to actively engage with Atal Tinkering Labs and interact with school students to nurture curiosity about science, technology and space. Such engagement, it was stressed, can inspire young minds and help create a strong pipeline of talent for India’s rapidly expanding space sector.
The emerging private space ecosystem has the potential to become a major driver of innovation, economic growth and technological advancement, not only for India but for the global community.
With growing participation from startups, innovators and young entrepreneurs, India’s private space sector can play a transformative role in developing solutions that benefit society and contribute to the country’s emergence as a global space technology leader.
