Kolkata, 14th August 2023: On the eve of Independence Day, Hulladek Recycling, Eastern India’s fastest-growing e-waste management company, organized an impactful #FreedomFromWaste walk in collaboration with esteemed educational institutions. Students from BDM School – Bijaygarh, BDM School – Golf Green, BDM School – Mahamayatala, and Techno India Group Public School – Garia took an enthusiastic stance for a cleaner and sustainable future.
The #FreedomFromWaste march, held at Rabindra Sarovar Lake, showcased an inspiring display of unity and determination as students from the schools and colleges united under the shared banner of environmental responsibility. Hulladek Recycling’s visionary initiative aimed to galvanize the younger generation to embrace eco-friendly practices and advocate for a reduction in waste generation in the future. The highlight of the march was a captivating ‘Nukkad Natak’ (street play) performance, thoughtfully organized to convey the message of waste reduction in an engaging and entertaining manner.
“Hulladek Recycling believes in the power of collective action, and the #FreedomFromWaste march exemplified the proactive commitment of Kolkata’s youth towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment. The participation of the various schools exemplifies the united effort needed to bring about positive change,” said Mr Nandan Mall, Founder & Managing Director, of Hulladek Recycling Private Limited.
With an eye-catching display of placards conveying poignant messages, the students effectively conveyed their dedication to waste reduction and environmental protection. The event not only encouraged dialogue on pressing environmental issues but also fostered a sense of empowerment among the youth, motivating them to be champions of change within their communities.
As a part of the #FreedomFromWaste campaign, Hulladek Recycling also installed an e-waste bin at Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata recently. An e-waste bin will also be installed in Calcutta International School in August. Hulladek Recycling also opened a collection center at Asansol today.
Hulladek started the #FreedomFromWaste movement a few years before with the aim of educating and propagating e-waste management amongst the people. These initiatives undertaken today were a part of the movement.
