Hyderabad, October 28, 2022: Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya honored COVID-19 Warriors of Kamineni Hospitals at a special program organized as part of ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Kamineni Hospitals, King Koti, Hyderabad. A team of doctors from Kamineni Hospitals was felicitated for providing medical advice in Hyderabad and Vijayawada during the peak period of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Dr. Aditya, COO, of Kamineni Hospitals, was present at the program. Dr. Banarsilal Shah, Chief, Medical Wing, Brahma Kumaris World HQ, the special guest of the program, made the inaugural address.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Banarsilal Shah, Chief of the Medical Wing, Brahma Kumaris World HQ. said, “The event was truly special because it celebrated and honored the COVID-19 warriors (Doctors & Support staff), particularly the doctors who selflessly served our community during a time of crisis, going above and beyond their call of duty.”
Referring to the doctors as embodiments of the indomitable human spirit, Dr. Shah said this felicitation is merely a token of the organization’s heartfelt gratitude.
Dr. Vasundhara Kamineni, the Director, of Kamineni Hospitals, said, “We all knew that when the pandemic struck and the country went into lockdown, it would have a significant impact on the lives of the less fortunate. With the support of our doctors, we began to provide COVID-19 check-ups and treatment in order to assist people during that difficult time. We are extremely honored and humbled by this act of the Bhrama Kumaris, and we are grateful to all of the courageous individuals who joined us in providing relief to the needy.”
