HCLFoundation & Noida Authority Organize Swachhata Mela for Cleaner Noida

Noida, Feb 9 :HCLFoundation which drives the corporate social responsibility agenda HCLTech of in India, today organized Swachhata Mela 2026 in collaboration with the Noida Authority

Swachhata Mela 2026 organised under the guidance of Mr. Krishna Karunesh, IAS, CEO, Noida Authority, celebrates the city’s progress in cleanliness and sustainable living. The event brought together over 5,000 participants, including school students, teachers, RWAs, sanitation workers, urban village residents, NGOs and officials from the Noida Authority.

The event featured panel discussions and expert talks on waste segregation, circular economy and citizen behavior, along with cultural performances by students and community groups. A dedicated Swachhata Exhibition highlighted the long-term impact of HCLFoundation’s My Clean City program—showcasing progress in sanitation, waste management and behavior change achieved with strong support from the Noida Authority.

Smt. Vandana Tripathi, IAS, ACEO, Noida Authority, attended the event as the Chief Guest.

In partnership with HCLFoundation, Noida Authority has been working to strengthen waste management processes while recognising the critical role played by sanitation workers on the ground. Swachhata Mela provides a structured platform to engage communities, reinforce responsible behaviour, and align citizens with the city’s long-term cleanliness objectives,”

A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of sanitation workers, school students, teachers and Waste Champions, recognising their contribution to cleanliness initiatives across Noida and Greater Noida. Sanitation kits were provided to 5,100+ Safai Karamcharis. Schools participating in the My Clean City Waste Champion programme were also recognized for promoting awareness and action among young citizens.

My Clean City is redefining urban sanitation in Noida and Greater Noida through science-led waste management and strong community participation. Through this program, nearly 750,000 citizens have been sensitized on positive waste behavior, 61,000+ stakeholders have been trained on waste management practices and 50,000+ tons of waste have been managed. Technological innovation & support through development of Integrated Control and Command Center (ICCC) for operations management, provision of HomoSep robot for mechanical cleaning of manholes/septic tanks, and deployment of E-garbage loaders for waste collection have provided impetus to the cleanliness revolution. Over 2,400 school students are also engaged through the MCC Waste Champions Club.
