ROYAL ENFIELD RECORDS MONTHLY SALES OF 79,466 IN DECEMBER 2024

New Delhi: January 2, 2025: Royal Enfield posted monthly sales of 79,466 motorcycles in December 2024,up by 25% as compared to the same month in the previous financial year. Royal Enfield exported 11,575 motorcycles during the month as compared to 6,096 during the same period last year.

Royal Enfield inaugrated New Assembly Plant in Thailand
Royal Enfield commenced operations of its first fully owned and operated CKD assembly facility outside India in Samut Prakan, Bangkok. The new plant highlights the brand’s commitment to the Thai market and the wider APAC region. With a modern 57,000 sq. ft. setup and an installed capacity of over 30,000 units annually, the facility is Royal Enfield’s sixth CKD assembly unit globally, joining existing plants in Argentina, Colombia,Brazil, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

Royal Enfield announced the expansion of its pre-owned motorcycle business, REOWN, now available in 236 cities across India. 02 January 2025: Air India, India’s leading global airline, today began operating its flagship A350-900 aircraft on non-stop flights between Delhi and Newark’s Liberty International Airport (EWR). This follows Air India’s A350 service on the Delhi-New York (JFK) inaugurated on November 1, 2024.

With this, Air India now serves all non-stop flights between India’s capital and the New York region with its A350 aircraft, offering its all-new interiors, including private suites in Business Class and a Premium Economy cabin, as well as an award-winning new Inflight Entertainment (IFE) system, enhanced catering, and new serviceware.

In celebration of the launch, Air India’s cabin crew went on a cinematic journey to recreate iconic New York City moments and in search of some of the city’s landmarks featured in globally popular Hollywood and Bollywood movies. THE ICONIC ‘LUNCH ATOP A SKYSCRAPER’ PHOTO RECREATED
Reliving a piece of history, Air India cabin crew members recreated one of the most influential photographs of all time, the iconic ‘Lunch Atop a Skyscraper’ photograph from 1932. The photograph showed ironworkers taking a casual lunch break on a towering skyscraper beam during the construction of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Air India’s crew took a moment to capture the spirit of innovation and adventure embodied in the striking photograph, atop Rockefeller Plaza.

GAPSTOW BRIDGE, CENTRAL PARK

The serene beauty and lush greenery around the picturesque Gapstow Bridge in Central Park has made the bridge a popular choice among filmmakers across generations. This is where Kevin McCallister first encounters the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and it is also where the ‘Runway Jungle’ photo shoot takes place in The Devil Wears Prada.

ON THE STEPS OF THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART (THE MET)

The grand staircase of The MET that leads up to the museum’s entrance is a striking architectural feature, and where numerous TV shows and films have been shot. The MET steps were a regular backdrop for popular drama series, Gossip Girls, as well as for much of the popular heist movie, Ocean’s 8. The iconic yellow cabs or taxis in New York have become a staple in countless movies set in the city. THE ROTUNDA ROOM AT THE PIERRE, A TAJ HOTEL

The 1979 Woody Allen classic, Manhattan, known for being a glorious celebration of New York, was another inspiration for the cabin crew members. The Air India crew found the exact spot and recreated the profound scene in which Isaac Davis (Woody Allen) and Mary Wilkie (Diane Keaton) sit underneath Queensboro Bridge, admiring it and talking to each other until dawn. An image of the scene also became the film’s iconic poster.

Nissan’s December Sales Hit 11,676 Units, 10,000+ Magnite Bookings

01 January 2025: Nissan Motor India announced at the start of the new year, that it has crossed the booking milestone of 10,000+ units of the New Nissan Magnite SUV this month and ended the calendar year (CY) with 91,184 units between Jan 24 to Dec 24. This milestone comes alongside recording total consolidated wholesale dispatches of 11,676 units in December 2024, reflecting robust demand for Nissan cars in both domestic and international markets.

Export wholesale stood at 9,558 units and domestic sales accounted for 2,118 units for the month of December’24. The export wholesale of 9,558 units in December’24 witnessed a 72% Year-on-Year (YoY) increase compared to 5,561 units sold in December’23 last year and a Month-on-Month (MoM) growth of 43% vis-a-vis 6,698 units sold in November’24.

The export performance witnessed considerable growth with YTD FY24 export growth at 63% compared to YTD FY23, alongside a 72% MoM increase in export dispatches. This consistent strong performance highlight the growing confidence and enthusiasm among customers for Nissan’s vehicles.

PVV Infra Plans Rs 49.50 Crore Rights Issue to Boost Capital

Hyderabad, January 1, 2025: PVV Infra Limited, an Infrastructure Company mainly into solar power rooftop installations, at its Board meeting held today approved several strategic decisions aimed at enhancing the company’s growth trajectory and strengthening its operational framework.

Among the key decisions, the Board approved raising up to ₹49.50 crore through a Rights Issue of fully paid-up equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each, providing existing shareholders an opportunity to participate in the company’s growth. The specifics of the issue, including the price, entitlement ratio, and record date, will be finalized in due course, subject to regulatory approvals.

To support future growth and funding needs, the Board proposed increasing the authorized share capital from ₹60 crore to ₹120 crore, subject to shareholders’ approval via a postal ballot. Additionally, the Board approved alterations in the Object Clause of the Memorandum of Association (MOA) to incorporate activities related to solar and wind energy systems, LED manufacturing, EV products, and consultancy services, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability and green energy initiatives.

In a significant move, Mr. Sunil Jagtap, an expert in green energy with over 22 years of experience in the solar and wind energy sectors, was appointed as an Additional Director under the Executive Director category. His extensive expertise is expected to greatly enhance the company’s renewable energy endeavours.

The Board also appointed M/s Sambhu Prasad Hanumath Venkata Srinaga Mukkamala, a prominent firm of Practicing Company Secretaries from Visakhapatnam, as the Secretarial Auditor for FY 2024-25.
