To give a bigger and better experience to their users and customers, Decathlon Bannerghatta, Decathlon’s second store in India that opened 10 years ago has relocated to a spot opposite the old store located on Bannerghatta main road. The 5000 square foot, two-level store promises a holistic sports experience. The retailer describes the concept as a flagship store that hosts its entire offering in terms of products and experience.
The first level covering 2500 square meters is the shopping area containing the full range of 50+ sports and 5000+ products. The second level covering another 2500 square meters is the play area with indoor playgrounds for multiple sports like football, skating, cricket, table tennis, a fitness gym, and more.
The store is designed with the idea of enabling sports lovers in the area to not only have easy access to any sports gear or equipment they may need but also enjoy a game or have the ability to practice their sport whenever they want with the right facilities available in the play area.

Along with the products and the practice area, the store also hosts the biggest repair workshop in the country for after-sales maintenance of cycles, gym equipment, roller skates, etc. This workshop area is not limited to only Decathlon products.
Decathlon is heading the eco-friendly way with its offerings. Currently, 18% of the products are eco-friendly and it plans to go totally eco-friendly in the coming years. Eco-design consists of taking the environment into account from the first design stages and throughout the entire product’s life cycle. In practical terms, it’s about thinking about how to make it possible to reduce its impact on the environment. This particular store is a net-zero energy building and is completely sustainable with solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and water recycling. All the energy the building produces is all it consumes.
The new and improved Decathlon Bannerghatta store is open all days of the week from 9 am to 10 pm. This new space has evolved from being a shopping destination to a full-blown sporting experience center where families can spend an entire day shopping, trying out the products, practicing sports in the play area, enjoying snacks and meals at the cafe, and more.
