Gurugram: On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, M3M Foundation in collaboration with Swayam (A Gurgaon based Organisation) has launched the “iMpower Suraksha” Project to provide self-defence, skill-based training for women safety, upliftment and empowerment in Gurugram. The project seeks to empower girls by making them self-aware, mentally and physically strong through various engaging activities such as storytelling, games, drama, role play, activity sheets, group discussions, exercises, Self defense and others.

Today, daughters of the country are making their important contribution in almost every field and making everyone proud. The organization believes that this project will go a long way in empowering girls in a state like Haryana with a low gender ratio, and is now shifting towards a positive change. M3M Foundation proudly supports the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign which was launched by the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for women empowerment and according to Dr Payal Kanodia, Trustee, M3M Foundation, everyone should contribute to make the campaign successful.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Payal Kanodia, Trustee, M3M Foundation said, “Everyone should contribute in making the government’s initiative ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ a success. Daughters are the future of the country. I am a woman myself and I want the daughters of the country to go ahead in every field and make our country proud. As a responsible organization, we are starting the “iMpower Suraksha” Project which is our effort towards the safety of the daughters by capacitating them with these required skills. Apart from this, we are also running free skill training centers in Gurugram and empowering girls through computer education, tailoring, fashion designing and other courses. Plans are on to take many more important initiatives in this direction.”

M3M Foundation together with Aide-et-Action, an International Development Organization has successfully been running the iMpower program. Understanding that good training and skill development are important for girls to make them socially empower, the organization is also running free skill training courses under its iMpower program to economically empower them by making them job-ready and support them to find jobs in Gurugram. It is also providing elementary education to 300 girls (age 5-15 years) and after that it is also providing assistance for enrollment in government schools.
