Bengaluru, October 08, 2026: Christmas has arrived early in Electronic City! Marking the beginning of the festive countdown, M5 Ecity Mall, South Bengaluru’s first integrated mall located in Electronic City and developed by M5 Mahendra Group, brought alive the much-loved tradition of Christmas cake mixing with a grand 1–tonne Plum Cake Mixing Ceremony in collaboration with LULU Daily on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The ceremony will be held between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and will be open to the general public.
With Christmas exactly 60 days away, the mall transformed its festive celebration into a larger-than-life experience, inviting shoppers, families and visitors to participate in a tradition centred around togetherness and community.
Set across an impressive 40-foot x 4-foot mixing setup, the ceremony brought together dry fruits, nuts and festive ingredients to create the rich base for the Christmas plum cake, turning the mall into a vibrant festive gathering for shoppers and families.
The prepared mixture will be allowed to mature over the coming weeks before being baked into the Christmas plum cake, adding to the anticipation around the festive season.
Speaking about the celebration, Mr. Rajesh Naidu, Centre Director, M5 Ecity Mall by M5 Mahendra Group, said, “Christmas is a celebration of togetherness, and we wanted to bring that feeling to M5 Ecity Mall well before the festive season begins. What better way to start the countdown than with a grand cake-mixing ceremony 60 days before Christmas? The scale of the celebration, the participation from our shoppers and the energy around the ceremony truly brought our festive spirit to life. We look forward to building on this excitement as we move closer to Christmas.”
The celebration marks the beginning of M5 Ecity Mall’s festive season, setting the tone for weeks of Christmas shopping, celebrations and community experiences at the mall.
