National, 11th Jan 2024: Prof. Ramgopal Rao, the Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani, has been honored with the esteemed “VSI Lifetime Achievement Award 2024” by the VLSI Society of India at the 37th International Conference on VLSI Design held in Kolkata, India. The prestigious award recognizes Prof. Rao’s outstanding contributions towards the development of the VLSI Design & Semiconductor ecosystem in India. His immense dedication to Semiconductors & VLSI Design Research and Education has laid a robust foundation, playing a pivotal role in positioning India as a formidable “Semiconductor Nation.”

Prof. Ramgopal Rao’s leadership and significant contributions were recognized as outstanding, and this acknowledgment makes him truly deserving of this prestigious award. This prestigious recognition comes from the Leadership team of the VLSI Society of India, the Conference organizing team of VLSID-2024, and the Steering Committee of the VLSI Society of India.
