The launch in London marks an important step in strengthening the international profile of the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon and positioning Jaipur as a destination for international sporting events. Over the years, the marathon has emerged as an established platform to promote running, fitness and community participation.

A key focus of the event continues to be Vedanta’s #RunForZeroHunger initiative, inspired by Mr. Anil Agarwal’s vision of ensuring that no child goes to bed  hungry.  Under #RunForZeroHunger, Vedanta pledges one meal for every kilometre run, supporting children and animals in need through social impact initiatives under Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF). The movement contributes to AAF’s flagship initiative, Nand Ghar, a network of over 16,000 modernised anganwadis across 18 states that brings together nutrition, healthcare and early childhood education for children, alongside skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities for women.

The movement’s spirit of compassion also extends to The Animal Care Organisation, Vedanta’s animal welfare initiative. By extending the campaign’s reach to animal welfare, Vedanta underscores its commitment to fostering compassion and responsibility towards all living beings.

The 2026 edition also aligns with Jaipur’s efforts to strengthen its position on the international distance running calendar. The initiative to bring the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races World Congress 2028 to Jaipur is aimed at creating greater international engagement for the city and promoting Rajasthan as a destination for sports tourism.

Organised by Anybody Can Run, the 11th edition of the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon will feature three race categories 21.1 KM Half Marathon, 10 KM Cool Run and 5 KM Dream Run. Staying true to its philosophy that running is for everyone, the event encourages participation across age groups and fitness levels, making it an inclusive celebration of health and community spirit.

Vedanta through Anil Agarwal Foundation is strengthening its commitment to promoting grassroots and participative sports through Vedanta Sports. The initiative focuses on nurturing talent, expanding access to structured sporting opportunities and encouraging active lifestyles across India. Its programmes include residential football academies in Rajasthan and Goa, archery programmes in Jharkhand and Odisha, support for hockey through the Kalinga Lancers, and emerging sports like padel. Its running initiatives include the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon in Jaipur and Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon in Udaipur, alongside support for marathons in Bengaluru and Mumbai. Across these sporting platforms, #RunForZeroHunger continues to connect fitness with a larger social purpose.

With #RunForZeroHunger at its core and the proposed AIMS World Congress 2028, Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon  2026 edition will further strengthen the event’s role in promoting fitness, community engagement and Jaipur’s international sporting presence.
