All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation stretched its support to save the life of a 5 months old child
All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation has taken up an initiative to save a 5 months old boy Ayush Das who is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type-1(SMA-type1). Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a genetic (inherited) neuromuscular disease that causes muscles to become weak and waste away. People with SMA lose a specific type of nerve cell in the spinal cord (called motor neurons) that control muscle movement. Without these motor neurons, muscles don’t receive nerve signals that make muscles move. It can only be administered to children below the age of two to arrest the progression of the disease. Social worker, Founder & Trustee of All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation, Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya has raised and placed the issue in the national platform so that the family gets relief as early as possible.
A drug named Zolgensma which costs Rs 16 crore can save this little boy’s life. It is important to note that Zolgensma isn’t marketed in India, and has to be imported from the US if prescribed by a medical practitioner.
“All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation started its journey with unabated social goals and is still working on the same. The initiative to “Save Ayush” is solely one of the major works right now. Youth of today needs to explore the life of Subhash Bose as an unshakeable and indomitable spirit to pave a strong path for the nation towards progress and prosperity with enlightened people in its heart. We would be reaching out to big corporate houses who can use their CSR funds to ensure a child’s life is not lost due to lack of funds”, said Indranil Bhattacharya, Founder & Trustee, All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation.
Ayush’s parents tried all the possible ways to save this little boy’s life. It’s not easy to face these challenges or get the relevant treatment for anyone so easily. All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation has stretched their support to reach out to wider and relevant platforms so that a life is not lost at such an early age.
Sayan Goswami, Trustee All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation & Arnab Chakrabarty, Trustee, All India Netaji Subhas Vichar Foundation said, “All India Netaji Subhash Vichar Foundation is established solely aiming at the inculcation of the uncompromising ideologies of Netaji in the mind of today’s youth. The Foundation belongs to the whole country and to make this work we have to help each other.”
