Swaranjali To Host ‘Shraddhanjali’ 2024: An Evening of Classical Vocal and Instrumental Music in Bhubaneshwar

9th May 2024: Shri Subrata De, the founder of “Swaranjali” Delhi, an organization recognized by the Delhi government, has been putting on festivals annually, since 2000, to promote and preserve our rich cultural legacy and the various Gharanas and the artists that represent them.

Swaranjali will be hosting “Shraddhanjali” 2024, an evening of classical vocal and instrumental music program to celebrate the ongoing “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.” The event is tentatively scheduled for July 8 and 9, 2024, at Rama Devi Women’s University in Temple City, Bhubaneswar, at 5 PM on both days.

This concert will be devoted to Guru, the late Suramani Bauri Bandhu Sethi, an accomplished Odisha sitar maestro. He was also a scholar, a graded artist at AIR Cuttack, the head of the Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya department, and a guru. Since 1972, he has had multiple students in India as a blind artist.

North Indian classical music will be played during the two days of the aforementioned planned musical evening festival. The festival’s highlights will include the students of Suramani Bauri Bandhu Sethi and distinguished North Indian classical artists from Odisha, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Swaranjali’s mission is to uplift and enrich Indian classical music, its upcoming musicians, and Odisha’s art enthusiasts.

Prof. Aparajita Chowdhury, Smt. Shyamali Mohapatra, Manoranjan Nayak, and Dr. K C Jena have graciously accepted the invitation to be honorary guests for this two-day event. The festival is being supported by SSEPD, the Odisha government, and Rama Devi Women’s University

News18 India’s ‘Jai Hind’ to salute the mighty power of the country on 73rd Republic Day

New Delhi, January 25, 2022: As the nation gears up to celebrate the 73rd Republic Day on 26th January, this year’s republic day has been special as the celebrations have begun from 23rd January onwards with the unveiling of hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. News18 India’s special programming ‘Jai Hind’ will bring the live telecast of Republic Day celebrations on 26th January to its viewers and to those who could not make it to Rajpath.

This year’s parade will highlight how the Indian defence forces have evolved over the years. As a part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, three marching contingents of the Indian Army will wear uniforms and carry rifles from previous decades, while one contingent will wear the new combat uniform and carry the latest Tavor rifles. Different marching contingents of Army, Navy, Air Force, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), National Cadet Corps (NCC), Delhi police and National Service Scheme (NSS) will participate in the parade.

The 73rd Republic Day parade will also have 29 children, including 14 girls, who were awarded in six fields — innovation, scholastic achievements, sports, arts and culture, social service and bravery.

Tableaux of various states and Union Territories along with 9 tableaux of ministries will be showcased at Rajpath.

Large Industries celebrates Energy Conservation Week across India under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) organised a webinar for Designated Consumers under the PAT scheme during the ongoing “National Energy Conservation Week: 8th–14th December 2021”, under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The Designated Consumers belonged to energy-intensive sectors such as Cement, Iron & Steel, Textile, Pulp & Paper, Refinery, fertilizers, Chlor-Alkali, Thermal Power Plants, and Aluminium.

On this occasion, while delivering the keynote, the Director-General, BEE congratulated the Designated Consumers for celebrating the spirit of Azadi and Amrit Utsav by organizing various activities involving awareness, outreach and commitments towards inculcating values of energy conservation and engaging in energy efficiency activities.

The webinar was conducted to interact with DCs so as to share experiences of the celebration of the week and highlight their broad course of an action plan to contribute to the recent announcements by the Hon’ble Prime Minister at COP 26, Glasgow, UK.

During the webinar, the DCs under the leadership of the Plant Head/Energy Managers highlighted the activities performed during National Energy Conservation Week. The celebration of National Energy Conservation Week included the following main activates: Painting Competition/Essay Writing, Quiz/Competition/Debates, Vriksha Ropan (Tree Plantations), Road Shows on energy conservation in the nearby areas. The DCs of all 9 sectors conducted many activities for the employees and other staff to empower them, such as energy walks, online training, tree plantations, and many more where they used social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as internal communications. All the Designated Consumers took part in mass awareness campaigns and on this journey. The webinar aimed to promote awareness amongst its personnel and the civil society around them. Over 40 DCs belonging to said sectors shared their experiences and list of activities, and it was informed that through their activities more than 1.5 Lakh individuals including employees, their families, school children, and civil society surrounding such DCs.
