Nationwide Guru Purnima Celebration by EuroKids Pays Tribute to Educators

Mumbai, July 22, 2024: EuroKids, the country’s foremost preschool expert, celebrated Guru Purnima with great fervor across 100+ centres, involving over 3500 toddlers in a series of enriching activities that underscored the importance of teachers in early childhood development. This celebration aimed to foster a sense of respect and gratitude towards educators from an early age, aligning with EuroKids’ commitment to holistic early childhood education.

Guru Purnima is a momentous cultural celebration devoted to honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers and mentors in shaping lives. This celebration underscores EuroKids’ unwavering commitment to fostering a nurturing and respectful learning environment where both teachers and students can thrive together. It holds special significance to involve toddlers in this celebration as it sows the seeds of respect and admiration for educators from an early age. Through these festivities, EuroKids endeavors to instill values of appreciation and acknowledgement for the impactful guidance provided by teachers, thus cultivating a culture of gratitude among the young learners.

The celebration included a range of engaging activities aimed at educating and entertaining the participants. One of the main activities was the Tree-Planting Tribute, during which each class planted a tree in honor of their teachers, representing growth and nurturing. The trees were named after the teachers, and the ceremony was a lively event, with children and teachers working together to plant and adorn the garden area, highlighting the theme of growth and continuity.

Another highlight was the Teacher-Student Talent Show, which saw toddlers dressed in traditional attire performing alongside their teachers. This talent show included entertainment performances such as singing, dancing, and role plays, celebrating the unique bond between students and teachers. The event not only highlighted the talents of the children but also showcased the collaborative spirit between teachers and students. Additionally, the celebrations featured storytelling sessions focused on the lives and teachings of famous gurus, team-building exercises, arts and crafts workshops where children created thank-you cards for their teachers, and interactive sessions on the importance of respecting and valuing educators.

Addressing a gathering of parents of young bright minds at the launch of the book titled ‘And  the kind young dragon dreamt’ , Mr Shiv Khera, educator, business consultant & author of over 9 million books sold, urged all parents to ensure good parenting with great values and integrity, while mentioning that our Youth does not form 100% of our population but they surely form 100% of the future, at the PHD House, New Delhi

Deliberating on the skills of good parenting, Mr Khera said that the parents of today are only teaching their kids to win and succeed, not making them aware of the fact that life is a roller coaster and we need to accept both ups and downs. There is not always win – win , but also failure which needs to be accepted and we should learn from our failure, added Mr Khera, giving example that world’s most successful leaders have faced may failures at some point in time.

It is important that we preach and teach our kids to accept responsibility and stop playing blame games. We should always strive to reach the highest level to value & integrity, to ensure we have the best humans and leaders in the making.

Mr Shiv Khera, launched the book titled – ‘..and the kind dragon dreamt’ and congratulated each young dragon who has scripted their imagination in the form of short stories.

Mr Sumit Sehgal, Founder Young Dragon English Club, said that it was such a wonderful experience reading the stories written by these young dragons and a fulfilling journey in motivating each of them to pen down their thoughts. It is just a beginning for these bright children, our future leaders on the path to become global citizens.

Master Advait Bhardwaj, Brand Ambassador, Young Dragon English Club & student of Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, thanked the chief guest Mr Shiv Khera was inspiring three generation in his family, including his grandfather, mother and now him, with his valuable insights on imparting management lessons. He was also indebted to his grandmother for being his true inspirtation.

Advait, also shared his experience on his journey of scripting the story title ‘the Knight Warrior ‘ and appealed to people of all ages to buy a copy of the book from amazon and have sneak peek into their world of imagination.

The book launch was supported by Paramount Cables and the event witnessed a participation of more than 200 avid reader.
