Godrej Vikhroli Cucina and FBAI Recognize Pioneers of Indian Food Culture at IFBA 2024

New Delhi, 27th November 2024: Godrej Vikhroli Cucina, a brand-agnostic food and lifestyle platform by Godrej Industries Group (GIG), in partnership with the Food Bloggers Association of India (FBAI), proudly hosted the India Food & Beverage Awards 2024 (IFBA) at Seven Rivers, Taj Holiday Village, Goa. Celebrating India’s diverse food ecosystem, the IFBA continues to honour individuals and entities whose exceptional work has shaped and redefined the food and culinary industry.

Among the key honourees, Chef Sanjyot Keer was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to the Hospitality and Culinary Industry award, and Kalyan Karmakar was named the FBAI Star. Additionally, several other winners were recognized for their exceptional work, including food reviewer Prithvish Ashar, who was honoured with the Insta Award for Top Review in Eatery.

The 2024 IFBA recognized talent across 11 main categories, encompassing 33 sub-categories, including Facebook, Instagram, Blog, YouTube, Media, Hospitality, Public Voting, FBAI Star, Industry Support, Education, PR Agency, and Contribution to the Hospitality and Culinary Industry. A total of 155 winners were honoured at this year’s ceremony, representing an exciting cross-section of India’s thriving food and beverage industry.

The event also showcased the integration of several Godrej-owned brands, including Godrej Yummiez, Godrej Jersey, Godrej Real Good Chicken, and Godrej Vikhroli Cucina. Highlights included the Godrej Jersey Yogurt Wall and the Godrej Jersey Sweet Shack, which were standout interactive installations designed to engage and captivate the food community. To celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving and give back to the food community, Godrej Foods also hosted a special Thanksgiving Grazing Table featuring products like Yummiez Prawn Rissois, and Yummiez Paneer Pop skewers with Caldine Drizzle. This showcase brought the brand’s culinary offerings to life, fostering community spirit and togetherness.

One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the launch of STTEM 2.0, India’s Frozen Snacks Report by Godrej Yummiez, unveiled by Mr. Sujit Patil, Chief Communications Officer, Corporate Brand & Communications, Godrej Industries Group, along with Chef Sanjyot Keer, Chef Sabyasachi Gorai, and Kalyan Karmakar.

The specially curated menu for the festival features a variety of traditional dishes that highlight the bold and unique tastes of the region.To start, guests can enjoy Spicy and tangy, Ghugni Phuchka, Ghugni Chaat, Vegetable Beetroot Chop and soft puffed Luchis paired with spicy Aloo Dum in Veg Starters. For non veg starters, there’s the crispy golden fried Fish Fingers, paired with flavorful dips and Dimer Devil, stuffed with spicy masala and deep fried to perfection.

Adding to the regional experience is a delightful and aromatic Kolkata Chicken Biryani and Misti Pulao.

Non-vegetarian lovers can relish the main course with slow cooked Mutton Dak Bunglow, Chicken Chaap and a traditional Bengali Doi Maach. Vegetarians, too, are in for a treat with dishes in main course like the rich and aromatic Kosha Potol, Jhinge Aloo Posto.

Certain foods items can help us keep warm the body naturally. So, people should customize their diet and include winter-friendly foods ingredients in it for the season. This food will not only help cope up with temperature dip but also help in boosting immunity in people having a weak immune system. These items are everyday food that adds every nutrient that our body needs in this season.

Here are ingredients everyday food options that are great alternatives to refined sugar and keep you warm:

  • Honey: It is a healthy sugar alternative loaded with minerals, vitamins, and several other essential nutrients. It helps in promoting metabolism and digestion other than keeping your body warm. In winters, you may start your day by taking one glass of warm water with honey.
  • Jaggery: One more alternative for sugar is Jaggery (commonly called: Gud) is synonymous with winter indulgence. You can have it as is or add it to your dessert, Jaggery is a wholesome food in every way.

Some other ingredients everyday food options that keep you warm and healthy:

  • Ghee: It is a healthy fat that includes several essential nutrients and is considered beneficial for overall well-being. Ghee is a part of traditional medical practice and is very helpful in cold and flu. You may add ghee to rice, roti, dal and enjoy its flavour and goodness every day.
  • Spices: Indian spices and their goodness is not unknown to anyone. Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, Haldi, etc have been a part of treatment in Ayurveda for ages and are consumed in several ways. You can add cinnamon in boiling water and have the drink or add it in your masala chai- these spices help you keep warm during the season.
  • Dry Fruits: Dry fruits are rightly considered superfoods. Almonds, cashew nuts, raisins, anjeer, etc are rich in every essential nutrient and can be a great addition to your winter diet. Dried fruits and nuts can be eaten as is or you can add them to your milk, sweets, halwa, etc.
