IIM Udaipur records 100% placements for its One-Year Full-Time MBA Program in Digital Enterprise Management Batch 2021-22

January 25th, 2022; Udaipur:  Indian Institute of Management Udaipur concluded Campus Recruitment Program 2021-2022 for its One-Year Full-Time MBA in Digital Enterprise Management batch with a 100% placement record for the second consecutive year. The Program was started in 2020 and is India’s only One-Year Full-Time MBA in Digital Domain, and as such is a unique offering in the new digital world of business. A total of 128 roles were floated to the students and a total of 47 companies participated in the placement season. The Institute shared Topline findings. IIM Udaipur is only the 4th IIM that is part of IPRS and will be sharing externally audited placement reports after completion of the audit.

The premier B-school announced that the size of this year’s batch was significantly increased over the inaugural batch last year. It consists of 26 students with 3-5 years of work experience, and 11 students with 5+ years of work experience. The average work experience of the cohort is 55 months. The minimum work experience mandatory for doing the course is 3 years.

On this achievement, Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, said, “I congratulate the graduating One-Year MBA Batch in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) for being 100% placed with sought-after roles. The increase in the batch size and the outstanding response by recruiters shows the shift in business paradigms and the rapidly-growing importance of digital learning in the management ecosystem We are happy to see our initiatives in setting up a Centre of Excellence in Digital Enterprise and the 1 year full-time MBA have been so well received.”

The students bagged some of the most sought-after roles in highly relevant domains like Digital Strategy, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Digital Experience, and Cloud.

Majors Tech companies such as Accenture Technology, Cognizant, EXL, Innover Digital, Conga, and other companies in the IT Services and IT consulting domain offered sector-specific roles. TransWorld Group of Companies offered international roles in Digital Marketing, Analytics, and Corporate Strategy roles.

Companies including Accenture Strategy, IBM, Cognizant, Thoucentric, TheMathCompany, and Lumiq offered both Technology and Management consulting roles. Retail and eCommerce companies like Reliance Digital and Flipkart, and enterprise analytics companies like LatentView Analytics offered analytics roles. Companies including Publicis Sapient, Digite, Accolite Digital, and Decimal Technologies offered product roles. IT Services and IT consulting majors including Thoughtworks, Mphasis, Infosys Consulting also participated in the recruitment drive.

IIM Udaipur kicks off Entrepreneurship Summit – 2022 to empower and celebrate Indian Unicorns

January 20th, 2022; Udaipur: Saksham, the Entrepreneurship Cell of Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, is organizing its third and largest E-Summit 2022 with the theme ‘Zilch to Zillion: Celebrating a Decade of Unicorns’ on 23rd January 2022 in a virtual format. The aim of the summit is to honour the efforts and celebrate the accomplishments of all rising entrepreneurs.

The E-summit will provide a forum to brainstorm and discuss innovation and ingenuity demonstrated by Indian entrepreneurs that have helped India’s unicorns (companies with a valuation of more than $1B) gain a combined market cap of $240 billion. Even as India is rapidly enhancing its start-up ecosystem, it still needs to climb 67 positions to top the Global Entrepreneurship Index, an indicator of the overall entrepreneurial potential of a nation.

Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur said, “Management schools in India are emerging as the breeding grounds for start-ups, especially Unicorns, by creating an enabling environment in curricula and bringing together key enablers of the ecosystem.”

Mr. Yashish Dahiya (Co-Founder and CEO, Policy Bazaar) and Mr. Arjun Mohan (CEO, upGrad) will throw light on how to shape the entrepreneurship landscape and leapfrog to the top league, as the keynote speakers. Other eminent speakers at the E-Summit ’22 are Mr. Prashant Pitti (Co-founder, EaseMyTrip), Mr. Ishan Bansal (Co-founder, Groww) and Mr. Amit Kumar Agrawal (Founder, NoBroker), who will all be covering their experiences and learnings from building scaled companies in India. Representatives from top-tier venture capital firms like Accel, Chiratae Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners and Times Internet will also be a part of the summit as speakers and panellists.

The event is supported by a network of corporates, incubators, media partners, including Secure Meters, TiE Udaipur and Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund. Top upcoming D2C (direct-to-consumer) startups like Ugaoo, InACan and Bombay Shaving company are also partnering with the E-Summit ’22 as “Gifting Partner”, “Experience Partner” and “Grooming Partner” respectively.

In the past decade, India has transformed its start-up ecosystem into becoming the third-largest in the world. In 2021, India added 46 Unicorns, doubling the number to over 90. In 2022, It is estimated that over 50 more unicorns will be added to the Indian start-up ecosystem.
