Kia launches 4 new entry and mid variants of Sonet with Sunroof starting at INR 819,000

New Delhi, 03 April 2024: Kia India has introduced 4 new entry and mid variants in the refreshed Sonet adding the much popular premium features like sunroof. The newly introduced HTE(O) and HTK(O) variants are now available with Petrol G1.2 and Diesel 1.5 CRDi VGT engines. While the HTE(O) gets an added sunroof over the existing HTE variant, the HTK(O) gets a Sunroof, LED Connected Taillamps, Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC) and Rear Defogger over the features of the existing HTK variant.

Audi India grows 33Percent in FY23-24

Mumbai, April 03, 2024: Audi India has retailed 7,027 units in FY23-24 posting an overall growth of 33%. The brand has retailed 1,046 units in Q1 2024 encountering notable challenges with sales compared to the corresponding period last year, primarily due to supply chain disruptions.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India closes FY 2023-24 with over 48 lakh unit sales

Mumbai, April 3, 2024: Ending the financial year on a positive note, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today announced its sales number for the month of March 2024.

The company’s total sales for March’24 stood at 3,86,455 units. This includes domestic sales of 3,58,151 units and 28,304 unit exports. The domestic sales for the month registered 81% YoY growth while the exports grew 95% over the same period of last year.

Noteworthy, the company sold 48,93,522 units during the FY’24, recording a 12% YoY growth.

Road Safety

· Asia Road Racing Championship: Making a significant mark on international soil, IDEMITSU Honda Racing India’s Kavin Quintal clinched Top 10 finish in the 2023 Asia Road Racing Championship finale. The IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team earned a total of 33 points in the 2023 season.

· MotoGP: Honda Racing Corporation announced the signing of Luca Marini for the 2024 and 2025 MotoGP World Championship seasons. In Round 2 of the MotoGP 2024 season, Joan Mir of Repsol Honda Team secured the 12th position, with his teammate Luca Marini maintaining the 17th spot. This performance underscores the team’s commitment to competitive racing as they navigate the challenges of the season ahead.

· Dakar Rally: Monster Energy Honda Team rider Ricky Brabec grabbed the 1st position in the Dakar Rally 2024. Two other Honda riders Adrien Van Beveren and José Ignacio Cornejo secured the 3rd and 5th positions, respectively, marking their places within the top 10 finishers.

SGSU is excited to announce Skills Fusion Fest’24, a celebration focused on skills

Bhopal, 3rd April 2024: Central India’s First NEP and NSQF aligned skills university, Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) has announced the 2-day Skill Fusion Fest’24 scheduled on 25th – 26th April. Indian author & columnist Chetan Bhagat will be gracing the fest on 25th April. The event will feature a range of cultural and skills-based competitions, culminating in a performance by a renowned musical band on the closing day. Determined Mir fights through early damage to secure points in Portugal

Portugal, April 03, 2024: Joan Mir showed his grit as he matched the pace of the top ten to recover from early contact and secure more points aboard the Honda RC213V as Luca Marini continued to hunt improvements.

Round two of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship came to a dramatic conclusion at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve for the Repsol Honda Team. Recovering from a tough Qualifying, Joan Mir found himself in the mix of the second group and suffered contact and damage on the first lap after a strong opening to the race. The #36 gritted his teeth and steadily made his way through the field and into the points as he mirrored the pace of the top ten. Ultimately crossing the line in 12th, Mir leaves Portugal with clear areas to improve in mind but satisfied with how he and the team overcame the troubles of Friday.

Repsol Honda Team Rider Joan Mir at the Portuguese Grand Prix

Luca Marini made a lightning start to the 25-lap Portuguese Grand Prix aboard the Repsol Honda Team machine and immediately found himself in the mix with his fellow Honda riders. Working on his own pace and continuing to deepen his understanding of the Honda, the #10 completed another 25 laps in race trim on the Honda RC213V machine. 17th as the checkered flag came out, the Italian was pleased with what he and the team achieved from Friday morning to Sunday evening.

The MotoGP World Championship will resume in Austin, Texas at the Circuit of the Americas, April 12 – 14. Alex Rins took Honda’s lone victory of the 2023 season there and the unique Texan track saw Luca Marini take his debut MotoGP podium in the same weekend.

“I am happy with how we performed today, if you look just at the final results page it maybe wouldn’t seem like it. On the first lap we had a huge contact with Morbidelli, my leathers on the right side were almost fully black and the bike suffered a lot of damage and I was sent wide. It was quite hard to manage with all the damage, but even like this we were able to match the pace of the guys battling for the top ten. The key point we need to work on is improving our Qualifying so we can avoid these type of incidents. Everyone in the team and HRC have done a great job to improve from where we were on Friday so I want to say thank you to them.”

 

Luca Marini (17th)

We had a better race today than in Qatar and also compared to yesterday, I am happy with the changes we have made to the bike. I was enjoying riding towards the end of the race which was a good little step ahead. Joan Mir has a better feeling on the bike and certainly more experience so he’s able to extract more from the bike, it’s motivating, and we need to study what he is doing. It’s a positive weekend, despite the result, because we got a lot of really good information, and we know what areas to follow and also which areas we should not with the setting. There’s room to keep improving.”
