SGSU is excited to announce Skills Fusion Fest’24, a celebration focused on skills

Bhopal, 3rd April 2024: Central India’s First NEP and NSQF aligned skills university, Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) has announced the 2-day Skill Fusion Fest’24 scheduled on 25th – 26th April. Indian author & columnist Chetan Bhagat will be gracing the fest on 25th April. The event will feature a range of cultural and skills-based competitions, culminating in a performance by a renowned musical band on the closing day. Participation is invited from the students of various colleges and universities to build awareness about skills.

SGSU is the first University to organize an annual festival that is focused on skills. Echoing the theme of the festival – ‘Celebrating Skills’ there are various skill-based competition planned across 2-days where students can participate on campus as well as online.

Students can participate in the Skills Fusion Fest online quiz competition by signing up on the festival’s dedicated landing page. Additionally, they have the opportunity to join the SGSU Social Media Skills Polls Competitions by responding to poll questions on SGSU Social Media pages via Stories.

The day 1 will begin with an inaugural session followed by activities such as Rangoli competition, story-telling, Standup comedy, singing & dancing. To encourage more participation in tech-based skill projects there are also activities planned like Codeathon, Tech Spark which is an IT innovative projects & Perfect podcast.

Author & Columnist Chetan Bhagat will be addressing the students on the need of fostering skill culture among students. Students need to be empowered to celebrate their unique skills as it is the cornerstone of fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

The day 2 will start with a quiz competition which will be based on current affairs and general knowledge, followed by Pottery, Makeup Hairstyle competition, Jewelry-making, Management & Team building games, LAN Gaming etc. Dignitaries from NSDC/HR Industry will be gracing the 2nd day of event and the evening will end with melodious performance of Naman Musica Band.

The Skills Fusion Fest 2024 was announced and the first poster was launched at SGSU. During this event, prominent figures such as Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, Dr. Ajay Bhushan, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Satish Kumar Sinha, Registrar were present. Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi of SGSU provided detailed information about the activities and competitions to be held during the Skills Fusion Fest 2024. He mentioned that the renowned author Chetan Bhagat will also be joining on April 25th. Additionally, a musical program will be organized on April 26th.

The handicrafts at Bhimthadi are made of materials like khun, neem wood, and bamboo. Specially abled children from NGOs make coasters, warli paintings, and pen holders which are sold at the Jatra. She can give valuable input on the things showcased at the event. The home decor items are upcycled and brought to the event. Furniture, kitchenware, and other items made from neem wood and bamboo are also available.

Since its inception, Bhimthadi Jatra has attracted eager visitors who anticipate the delectable food served annually at the fair. The event also boasts repeat customers who return each year to patronize specific food stalls. Millets have been a staple in our diet for generations and have seen a resurgence in popularity recently. Attendees at Bhimthadi Jatra will have the opportunity to sample local Maharashtrian cuisine at various food stalls. Bhimthadi Jatra also provides support to entrepreneurs seeking certification for their food products and assists with proper branding and packaging strategies for their goods.

Continuing its ongoing approach towards embracing conscious choices and clothing, sustainable fashion wear brands like The Kishkinda Trust, Viva La Vida India and Love for the Loom are going to be participating in Bhimthadi Jatra’s 17th year exhibition.

Bhimthadi Jatra itself as an event follows sustainable practices, encouraging and educating the people who are participating and those attending.

– There is a farmers market where you can purchase organically produced products from direct contact.

– There is a policy for non-plastic, non thermocol plates being used, etc.

– The flexes used at the event for advertising purposes are all sent for recycling, ensuring zero wastage at the event.

– Plastic water bottles are not allowed at the event.

– Zero food wastage is ensured as well.
