Drone Destination Partners with NSIC for Drone Training Programs

Mumbai, India, July 19, 2024 – Drone Destination and the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a state-of-the-art drone training centre at NSIC, New Delhi. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive training on drone technology, repairs and maintenance, data processing and analysis, remote pilot training and new-age sport drone soccer. The centre will focus on skill development, employment generation, and empowering the drone ecosystem in India.

The collaboration between Drone Destination and NSIC is poised to bring significant advancements in the field of drone technology and AI, and develop a future-ready work force to cater to the growing and diversified demands of skilled manpower in the drone sector, especially in digital agriculture, survey & mapping, mining, asset inspection, surveillance & monitoring, disaster management and many more.

Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India – April 10, 2024 – The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between IIT Roorkee and the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) (an SPV of NHAI), marking a significant alliance in the realm of ropeway development. The collaboration is a significant milestone in both institutions’ commitment to excellence and societal advancement.

Under the visionary leadership of Prof. K K Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, and Shri Prakash Gaur, CEO of NHLML, the collaborative effort aims to elevate the quality of Indian ropeway components to international standards. This strategic partnership not only underscores IIT Roorkee’s esteemed reputation and expertise but also signifies the first-ever collaboration between the NHAI and an academic institution.

This strategic partnership between IIT Roorkee and NHLML aims to elevate the quality of Indian ropeway components to international standards, in alignment with the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary project, “Parvatmala Pariyojana.” Under this initiative, the Government plans to develop over 250 projects spanning more than 1200 kilometers of ropeways in the next five years, with a focus on enhancing safety and affordability across India’s ropeway projects.

This collaboration marks a significant stride towards raising awareness among tourists about sustainable and eco-friendly modes of transportation, complementing the Government of India’s ambitious Green Urban Transport Scheme (GUTS). Recognizing the emerging significance of ropeways in India, there is a concerted effort to develop an ecosystem and foster capacity building nationwide, positioning ropeways as a viable alternative mode of transportation. These efforts align with the objectives outlined in the National Tourism Policy (NTP) and the Swadesh Darshan Scheme.

HDFC Bank today announced signing a memorandum of understanding with 100X. VC, a leading early stage venture capital firm, to engage more deeply with the start-up community. The Bank will extend its full-suite of specialised services and facilities tailored for start-ups, known as Smart-Up,to all the firms associated with 100X.VC. It will also extend additional credit facilities and evaluate investment opportunities in these start-ups.

With this MoU, HDFC Bank and 100X.VC will work together in mutually beneficial areas. The venture capital firm will recommend HDFC Bank as primary Bank to all its investee companies. Through such collaboration, the bank hopes to enhance the ecosystem by supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.

HDFC Bank and 100X.VC will also conduct jointprograms for start-ups such as Master Classes. Additionally, the bank will evaluate start-ups referred to it by 100X.VC for investment and extending loans.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Abhishek Deshmukh, Branch Banking Head – Maharashtra, and Mr. Yagnesh Sanghrajka– Founder & CFO, 100X.VC in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Mehta, Founder & Partner, 100X.VC; Mr. Ninad Karpe- Partner, 100X.VC, and other senior bank officials.

IIFL Home Finance Ltd. and Indian Naval Placement Agency sign an MoU for hiring of Navy veterans

IIFL Home Finance Ltd. (IIFL HFL) and the Indian Naval Placement Agency (INPA) today signed an MoU, through which the two entities will explore opportunities for the recruitment of naval veterans within IIFL HFL. IIFL HFL aims to hire veterans/Ex-servicemen/dependents who have retired from the Indian Navy/ dependents and are competent for roles through this MoU. Mr. Monu Ratra, ED & CEO, IIFL HFL s and Vice Admiral Suraj Berry, AVSM, NM, VSM, Controller of Personnel Services, Indian Navy signed the MoU. At the event, IIFL Home Finance Ltd was represented by Mr Monu Ratra, ED & CEO, IIFL HFL, Col Rajesh Shukla, Lead Sales & Business Development (Uniformed Forces) and Ms Rashmi Priya, Head-HR, IIFL HFL while INPA was represented by Cmde Pankaj Sharma, Principal Director ESM Affairs at IHQ MoD (Navy) & Commander Vijay Director ESM Affairs.

Through the MoU, INPA will identify a pool of Ex-Servicemen/ dependents candidates for relevant roles as per recruitment standards of IIFL HFL. The company will, in turn, enable these individuals to transition to the corporate sector through in-house assimilation and training programs.

IIFL HFL under the aegis of its Diversity & Inclusion initiative aims to offer ex-servicemen opportunities in line with their qualifications, experience and attributes acquired during their service period.
