Novotel Visakhapatnam Takes a Green Stand on World Environment Day
Visakhapatnam, 7th June 2024: Novotel Visakhapatnam, a leading hotel in the region, celebrated World Environment Day with a series of impactful events aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
The celebrations commenced with a thought-provoking “Save the Soil” awareness session on the evening of 4th June, engaging and educating employees on the importance of soil conservation. Following this enlightening session, Novotel Visakhapatnam showcased its commitment to sustainability through the “Best out of Waste” initiative, emphasizing the importance of recycling and upcycling to reduce waste.
On the morning of 5th June, the hotel organized a beach cleaning activity, demonstrating its dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the local beaches and marine ecosystems. In the afternoon, as a gesture of environmental stewardship, Novotel Visakhapatnam conducted a small plant distribution ceremony for in-house guests. Guests checking out were presented with a plant in a Novotel Paper bag, symbolizing a commitment to green practices even beyond their stay.
Novotel Visakhapatnam, in partnership with The Rohit Memorial Trust represented by its Clown Doctors, was proud to collaborate for World Environment Day. India’s First Medical Clown Couple, Meenakshi and Anantram, conducted a workshop at the hotel on Medical Clowning as therapy in Palliative Care, with a focus on decluttering the mind. This partnership highlighted the importance of mental well-being alongside environmental consciousness, showcasing Novotel Varun Beach’s dedication to holistic sustainability practices.
