BluPine Energy Secures Financial Closure for 120 MW Solar Project in Gujarat with Funding from State Bank of India

Mumbai / National, 22nd July ’24: BluPine Energy, a leading renewable energy services company established in India by global infrastructure investor Actis, has announced the successful financial closure for its 120 MW Solar Project in Panshina and Radhanpur village of Gujarat under Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

This milestone has been achieved through securing debt financing from State Bank of India, one of India’s largest banking and financial services organizations. The total sanctioned debt for this ambitious project amounts to INR 436 crores (USD 52.85 Million). Once operational, the plant is expected to generate approximately 2.98 lakh MWh of energy annually, offsetting an estimated 2.7 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions each year and supplying power to around 2.7 lakh households.

Amazon Retail India enters Gujarat to source directly from farmers

In an endeavor to empower the farmers of Gujarat and offer high-quality fruits and vegetables to its customers, Amazon Retail India has launched its first collection center in Gujarat at Prantij. This collection center will assure farmers of fast payments, fair and transparent pricing, and guidance on farming. Additionally, this facility will be a channel to provide a source of various local and authentic varieties of fruits and vegetables to the customers such as guava, sapota, pomegranate, cabbage, cauliflower, tomato, potatoes and bhindi. The collection center located at Majra Chokdi, was inaugurated on 14th June in the presence of Shri Dinesh Patel, Deputy Director Horticulture, Govt of Gujarat and Shri Baka Bhai Patel, Sarpanch Tajpur village and 150+ farmers.

The fresh fruits and vegetables are then sent to the processing centers where they are sorted, graded, geo-tagged, and packaged in different sizes in well-aerated sustainable packaging to ensure freshest quality grade produce is send to Amazon Fresh fulfillment centers located closer to customers.

Honda 2Wheelers India expands renewable energy portfolio, Installs second wind turbine system in Gujarat

Reducing its dependence on non-renewable resources by leveraging hybrid energy systems (wind & solar), Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. Inaugurated its 2nd wind turbine system in Bhanvad (Dwarka district, Gujarat), around 350kms from the company’s Vithalapur plant.

Built with an investment of INR 176 million, Honda will now produce a total of 4.7 MW wind energy including its first wind turbine system (2 MW capacity) installed in Radhanpur (Patan district, Gujarat) last year.

Noteworthy, HMSI will now meet over 50% of total energy requirements at its 4 manufacturing plants in Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan), Narsapura (Karnataka) & Vithalapur (Gujarat) from renewable energy resources.

Harnessing Solar & Wind Energy for sustaining future generations

Further broadening its approach towards renewable energy, Honda 2Wheelers India is consistently investing in sustainable resources for power generation. Generating close to 66 MW of electricity every year, all HMSI manufacturing facilities across India harness renewable energy sources for meeting the company’s diverse energy requirements.

For FY’20-21, HMSI generated more than 77 Million KWh units’ electricity from renewable resources while offsetting over 55,000 metric tonnes of Carbon dioxide emissions in the environment.
