KIIT World School Showcases Young Innovators through Collaborative Program

Gurugram: KIIT World School is excited to share the success of the Young Inventors Program, an inspiring collaboration between KIIT World School and Vastav Intellect IP Solutions. Designed by Mr. Venkatesh Bharti, Founder and Director of Vastav Intellect IP Solutions LLP (VIIPS) and Vastav Incubatex & Entrepreneurship Foundation (VIEF), along with Ma’am Deepa Kholi, this initiative aims to foster creativity and innovation in students, helping them develop ideas into impactful designs.

The program engaged students from grades 1 to 6, encouraging them to think outside the box and generate fresh, inventive concepts. Through expert-led brainstorming sessions, facilitated by professionals from Vastav Intellect, students explored problem-solving techniques and innovative approaches to address real-world challenges. This hands-on learning experience empowered young minds to look at everyday issues from a new perspective.

At the conclusion of the program, students presented their innovative designs and posters to their classmates, teachers, and a panel of experts. The interactive session allowed for valuable feedback and insights, helping students refine their ideas and chart the next steps in their innovation journey.

Nelson Mandela International Day is celebrated at KIIT World School with a special assembly

Gurgaon- KIIT World School organized a special assembly to honor Nelson Mandela International Day, celebrating the legacy of the great worldwide leader and human rights activist. Students and staff actively participated in the event, gathering to consider the values of justice, freedom, and peace that Mandela promoted.

The assembly began with a significant tribute to Nelson Mandela, reflecting his incredible life story from freedom fighter to South Africa’s first black president. Various types of speeches, skits, and musical performances were performed by the students, all of which highlighted Mandela’s strong support for equality and his ongoing influence on society.

The principal of KIIT World School, Dr. Neelima Kamrah, shared a motivational speech with the students, highlighting the importance of Nelson Mandela’s lessons in the modern world. “The life of Nelson Mandela serves as an example of the strength of determination, empathy, and the firm search for justice. His legacy serves as a reminder that we are all capable of changing the world. We aim to teach these principles to our students, motivating them to be engaged global citizens who make meaningful contributions to society.”

The event also included a community service project in which students and faculty participated in a variety of activities to give back to the local community. These projects, which represented Mandela’s faith in the universal principle of “I am because we are,” included everything from cleaning up neighborhood parks to giving educational materials to needy children. In addition to honoring the memories of a great leader, KIIT School’s Nelson Mandela Day event encouraged students to uphold his ideals and carry on his aim of bringing about a more just and equal society.

KIIT World School organized a workshop on plastic recycling

Gurugram: KIIT World School, Gurugram, in collaboration with the Indian Centre for Plastics in the Environment (ICPE), hosted an informative workshop on the importance of plastic recycling. Educating children about plastic recycling is critical because it promotes environmentally responsible behavior and provides students with the knowledge and skills required to properly contribute to recycling initiatives.

Mr. Sudheer Khurana, Manager of Systems and Communications at ICPE, led the training and presented an in-depth explanation of the plastic recycling process. Mr. Khurana went into detail on each step of the recycling process, from collection and sorting to processing and producing new products, while highlighting the advantages of recycling plastic. Students actively participated in the highly interactive workshop, which helped them understand how important it is for them to promote recycling in their schools and communities.

KIIT World School Principal Appointed as City Coordinator by CBSE

Gurgaon- Dr. Neelima Kamrah, Principal of KIIT World School Gurgaon, has been appointed as the City Coordinator for Gurugram-B by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This appointment recognizes Dr. Kamrah’s experience, cooperation, and coordinating skills, along with the reputation of KIIT World School.

In her new role, Dr. Kamrah will support the smooth conduct of examinations, evaluations, and various activities organized by CBSE. She will oversee pre and post-exam activities for Secondary and Senior Secondary levels, including academic workshops, sports events, and special exams.

As City Coordinator, Dr. Kamrah will coordinate with CBSE-affiliated schools in Gurugram-B, offering guidance and support, and providing feedback on school activities. She will act as a link between CBSE and the schools, collaborating with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to promote academic excellence.

Dr. Kamrah’s tentative period of three years, subject to performance review at the end of each year.

KIIT World School organized a teacher’s training workshop on the 4 C’s and Classroom Strategies

Gurugram: KIIT World School, Gurugram, in cooperation with Curio, recently organized a specific teacher’s training workshop on “The 4 C’s and Classroom Strategies.” Ms. Rose, a qualified international multi-talented trainer with a notable background in psychology and mass communication, led this amazing session designed for pre-primary and primary teachers.

The workshop aimed to improve various methods of teaching according to the foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) requirements and the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) concepts. Based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s 4 C’s framework, the training focused on creativity, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.

Ms. Rose addressed teachers in creative ways to connect teaching strategies with the FLN and ECCE standards. Through several fruitful exercises, the program explored the development and cultivation of good communication and creative skills, giving teachers the tools they need to create a safe and happy learning environment in the classroom.

CBSE Collaborates with KIIT World School Gurgaon to Promote Health Literacy

Gurgaon – In alignment with the global focus on health and well-being , Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with KIIT World School Gurgaon host a dynamic session on health awareness on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) . The session, organized by CBSE at KIIT World School Gurgaon, along with 100 participants from five prominent schools including Red Rose Public School, Drona Public School, Ascent Public School, CCA School, and DPS Maruti Kunj.

In commemoration of World Health Day’s theme, “My Health, My Choice,” KIIT has inaugurated its Health Initiatives with a series of impactful activities. This commitment underscores the school’s dedication to fostering a holistic understanding of health among its students and staff.

As a pivotal partner, CBSE spearheaded the pilot Health Literacy Program, conducted at KIIT World School Gurgaon, in collaboration with JaviX Life Pvt. Ltd. This comprehensive program encompassed Health Literacy Sessions, Health Planning, and a Health Camp, tailored to equip educators with essential knowledge on health awareness and planning.

Leading by Ms. Priyanka, a distinguished clinical instructor from Vidyanta, the workshop aimed to impart crucial insights into health literacy and planning. Following this informative session, Mr. Vijay Raghavan, CEO of Uniffy Enterprises Insurtech, emphasized the significance of insurance in ensuring both health security and financial stability.

Furthermore, Mr. Munish Chawla, co-founder of Jeevitam, actively engaged in the workshop, sharing valuable insights on initiatives related to health literacy.
