THINK Gas takes the stage at India Energy Week to showcase its innovative, clean energy solutions

New Delhi; February 2023: THINK Gas, one of India’s youngest and fastest growing private City Gas Distribution (CGD) company, operating in 5 states of Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh, has created a natural gas eco-system of 100 CNG stations, 12 CGS stations, a first of its kind regasification and storage LNG station in under 4 years. THINK Gas participated at the India Energy Week 2023 held on the 6th-8th February 2023, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), in Bengaluru.

Inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India Energy Week, is the first major event under India’s G20 Presidency. Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, India Energy Week is the only and all-encompassing international energy event supported at the highest level of the Indian government, with participation from all the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and officially supported by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI).

Based on the theme – Witness the Good Print Story: India’s City Gas Glory, THINK Gas collaborated and partnered with Indraprastha Gas Limited, Mahanagar Gas Limited, GAIL Gas Limited, Sabarmati Gas Limited, Torrent Gas, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited, Gujarat Gas, Indian Oil – Adani Gas Private Limited, and Central UP Gas Limited to create a City Gas Distribution Pavilion at the India Energy Week. A truly immersive experience was created at the pavilion for the visitor – LED walk through tunnel, touch screens on progress of the sector, customer pledge walls and scale models of various aspects of the City Gas Distribution business. The CGD pavilion was also supported by technology companies and equipment suppliers.

During the 3-day event, THINK Gas stand got policy makers – Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs & Petroleum and Natural Gas; Shri. AK Tiwari, Member, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB); Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari, IAS, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Govt of India; Shri Anand Kumar Jha, IAS, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Govt of India; industry veterans, industry colleagues, investors, technology partners, prospective business partners and other industry enthusiasts visited us at our stand.

During the IEW, Hardip Singh Rai, CEO, THINK Gas, participated in a panel discussion on the ‘Centrality of CGD in India’s Gas Story’. During his session Hardip highlighted how THINK Gas has become the youngest and the fastest growing CGD company having built a natural gas ecosystem in just 4 years in our markets. He also spoke about the aspirations of THINK Gas, challenges faced by companies to get foreign investments in the sector and stressed on the changes required for CGD to realize its potential.
